Carlingford High School is a comprehensive school, comprehensive, co-educational government high school located in Carlingford, New South Wales, Carlingford, Sydney, Australia. The school has approximately 1180 enrollments and has achieved top Higher School Certificate (New South Wales), Higher School Certificate scores. History The decision to build a new high school at North Carlingford was made in early 1967. Though the decision was originally not well received by the community, especially parents who lived in close proximity to Cumberland High School (Carlingford), Cumberland High School and whose children were already being sent by bus to Pennant Hills High School, building of the new school commenced in the Autumn. The contractor, A.V Jennings, was to complete sufficient of the building to enable the school to open on the first school day in 1968. Carlingford () is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Carlingford is 22 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of City of Parramatta. Carlingford is in the Hills District and Northern Sydney regions. Carlingford is amongst the middle of three different regions of Sydney. Peter Crawford (Australian Politician)
Peter Thomson Crawford (born 1 July 1949) is a former Australian politician. He was the Labor member for Balmain in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1984 to 1988. Crawford was born in Ashfield in Sydney, and attended Burwood Public School, Fort Street Boys' High School and the University of Sydney, where he received his Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education. He became a school teacher and worked as a legal officer from 1973–75; he was also elected President of Young Labor in 1974. In 1976 he became a research officer for former Deputy Premier Jack Ferguson, before becoming a newspaper publisher in 1980. In that year he was elected to Leichhardt Council, serving until 1984. Jamie Thomas Parker is the member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing Balmain for the Greens since 2011. Parker was the first Green to represent his party in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. Political career Parker has been active in social justice and environmental issues for many years and while at university was elected the NSW president and subsequently the national environment officer of the National Union of Students. Stephen Mark O'Doherty (born 26 October 1959) is a former Australian politician and former member of the Liberal Party.
