The Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations ( sw, Baraza la Mashirikisho ya Mpira wa Miguu Afrika Mashariki na Kati, french: Conseil des Associations de Football d'Afrique de l'Est et Centrale, ar, مؤتمر جمعيات شرق ووسط أفريقيا لكرة القدم; officially abbreviated as CECAFA) is an association of the football playing nations in mostly East Africa and a bit of Central Africa. SC Victoria University
Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) is a Ugandan football club, based in Kampala. They play their home games at the Mandela National Stadium. History SCVU was formed on 19 August 2011, and played in the Uganda Big League, winning the play-off final 4-0 against Aurum Roses to gain promotion to the Uganda Premier League. First Head Coach in history of SC Victoria University was Serbian tactician Ivan Zoric. 2014 CECAFA Nile Basin Cup
The 2014 CECAFA Nile Basin Cup was the inaugural edition of the CECAFA Nile Basin Cup, which is organised by CECAFA. It began on 23 May and concluded on 4 June, with Sudan as the first hosts of the tournament. Ugandan Super League club Victoria University beat A.F.C. Leopards in the final to clinch their first title and US$ 30,000 in prize money. A.F.C. Leopards took home US$20,000 for finishing second, while Sudanese side Al-Ahly Shendi beat Académie Tchité of Burundi in the third place play-off to take home US$10,000. The CECAFA Club Cup is a football club tournament organised by CECAFA. It has been known as the Kagame Interclub Cup since 2002, when Rwandan President Paul Kagame began sponsoring the competition. CECAFA Cup
The CECAFA Cup, is the oldest football tournament in Africa. It is organized by the Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA). A FIFA competition, it includes participants of football playing national teams from the East African Region. Cup history There is an anomaly on national teams in the case of Tanzania. It fields two teams, Tanzania and Zanzibar.
