Borlänge Ladies Open
The Aspeboda Ladies Open was a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour. It was played annually from the inception of the tour in 1986 until 1997. It was always held at the Falun-Borlänge Golf Club in Aspeboda, Sweden. In 1986 the tournament was included on the Ladies European Tour and sometimes referred to as the Borlänge Ladies Open. Originally scheduled to return in 1987, the tournament was withdrawn from the 1987 Ladies European Tour schedule and the prize fund dropped from SEK 500,000 to 50,000. Marie Wennersten, who finished fourth in 1986, won the tournament three consecutive years 1987–1989. Maria Hjorth Maria Anna Hjorth (born 15 October 1973) is a Swedish professional golfer. Falun
Falun () is a city and the seat of Falun Municipality in Dalarna County, Sweden, with 37,291 inhabitants in 2010. It is also the capital of Dalarna County. Falun forms, together with Borlänge, a metropolitan area with just over 100,000 inhabitants. Falun was originally famous for its copper mine, and is today an important service and industrial city even though the mine is closed (since 1992). Faluån is a river, flowing through the city, separating it into two sides. Falu copper mine is located on one of the sides which during many centuries was one of Sweden's main business. This side of the river was usually called "the mining side", where not many plants grew due to the toxic smoke which contaminated the soil. Linda Ericsson
Linda Ericsson (born 2 October 1973) is a retired Swedish professional golfer. She was runner-up at the 1993 European Ladies Amateur, and played on the Ladies European Tour. Amateur career Ericsson was selected for the National Team and finished 4th at the 1992 Espirito Santo Trophy in Vancouver, Canada together with Annika Sörenstam and Maria Hjorth. She again finished 4th at the 1993 European Ladies' Team Championship. She won silver in 1992 and gold in 1994 at the European Lady Junior's Team Championship, teamed with Charlotta Sörenstam and four others under captain Pia Nilsson. Ericsson played on the Swedish Golf Tour as an amateur and won the 1991 SM Match and the 1992 Rörstrand Ladies Open. 1990 Swedish Golf Tour (women)
The 1990 Swedish Golf Tour was the fifth season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden. The tournament Directors were Rolf Ericsson, Claes Grönberg and Pia Nilsson. The player council consisted of Katrin Möllerstedt, Susann Norberg, Viveca Hoff and Liv Wollin. Tournaments were played over 54 holes with no cut, the SI and LET events over 72 holes with cuts. Amateur Annika Sörenstam, Margareta Bjurö and Jennifer Allmark captured the most titles with two wins each, while Marie Wennersten-From won her first Order of Merit. Helene Koch
Heléne Elisabeth Koch (née Andersson) (born 9 May 1967) is a Swedish professional golfer. She played on the Ladies European Tour and was runner-up at the 1996 Costa Azul Ladies Open. Amateur career Koch was a member of the winning Swedish team at the European Ladies' Team Championship at Turnberry in 1987, together with Helen Alfredsson, Eva Dahllöf, Pia Nilsson, Sofia Grönberg, Malin Landehag and Margareta Bjurö. The 1992 Swedish Golf Tour, known as the Lancôme Tour for sponsorship reasons, was the seventh season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden. 1992 was the second year with Lancôme as the main sponsor, and the tour remained the only regional ladies golf tour in Europe operating as a feeder tour for the LET. For the first time no events were scheduled opposite LET events. The number of events were limited and prize money somewhat decreased due to the Early 1990s recession. Anna Carin Pernilla Hjalmarsson Koch (née Hjalmarsson; born 23 February 1971) is a Swedish professional golfer who previously played on the Ladies European Tour and on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. She was captain of the 2015 European Solheim Cup team. Amateur career Carin Koch had a successful amateur career. Maria Bertilsköld (born 13 June 1970) is a Swedish professional golfer and National Team coach. She won the 1990 European Lady Junior's Team Championship and played on the Ladies European Tour for five years between 1992 and 1996. Amateur career Bertilsköld won Swedish Junior Strokeplay Championship in 1990.
