Bohdan Nikishyn
Bohdan Serhiyovych Nikishyn ( uk, Богдан Сергійович Нікішин, translit=Bohdan Serhiyovyč Nikišyn; born 29 May 1980) is a Ukrainian right-handed épée fencer, 2015 team world champion, and three-time Olympian. Nikishyn competed in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. Nikishyn won a bronze medal in the team men's épée event at the 2006 World Fencing Championships in Turin, Italy, a silver medal in the team men's épée event at the 2013 World Fencing Championships in Budapest, Hungary, a gold medal in the team men's épée event at the 2015 World Fencing Championships in Moscow, Russia, a bronze medal in the individual men's épée event at the 2018 World Fencing Championships in Wuxi, China, and a silver medal in the team men's épée event at the 2019 World Fencing Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Dnipropetrovsk
Dnipro, previously called Dnipropetrovsk from 1926 until May 2016, is Ukraine's fourth-largest city, with about one million inhabitants. Fencing is a group of three related combat sports. The three disciplines in modern fencing are the foil, the épée, and the sabre (also ''saber''); winning points are made through the weapon's contact with an opponent. The ( or , ), sometimes spelled epee in English, is the largest and heaviest of the three weapons used in the sport of fencing.
