Big Brother 2008 (Finland)
''Big Brother 2008'' was the fourth season of the Finnish version of the reality television show '' Big Brother''. It aired on Sub (former Subtv) in Finland, from 26 August 2008 to 30 November 2008, lasting for 97 days. Vappu Pimiä was the host of ''Big Brother Talk Show'' and Janne Kataja hosted of ''Big Brother Extra''. Unlike previous seasons, this year the Sub also aired an interactive text message contest ''Big Brother Game'' on weekdays, hosted by three of housemates from the third season Kadi, Farbod and Aki. This year's fallen residents hosted individual broadcasts. This season has pre-determined rules that all housemates must strictly follow. Housemate violated the rules will be punished. However, Big Brother reserves the right to change the rules at any time without notice. Sub (TV Channel)
MTV Sub (formerly TVTV!, Subtv and Sub) is a Finnish TV channel owned by MTV Oy. The previous owner Alma Media sold Sub and its sister channels (MTV3, C More Max, MTV Ava Radio Nova and Sävelradio) to Swedish Bonnier and Proventus in 2005. Programs and audience Sub is an entertainment channel directed at teens and young adults. Programs are mostly imported and of U.S. origin. Sub also shows reruns of popular and cult TV shows. Recently, the share of domestic programming has grown remarkably. The channel's highest viewership of all time was attracted in 2009, when the finale of '' Big Brother 2009'' was aired. Turku
Turku ( ; ; sv, Åbo, ) is a city and former capital on the southwest coast of Finland at the mouth of the Aura River, in the region of Finland Proper (''Varsinais-Suomi'') and the former Turku and Pori Province (''Turun ja Porin lääni''; 1634–1997). Big Brother Africa (season 3)
Big Brother Africa 3 is the third series of the ''Big Brother Africa'' reality television show produced by Endemol. The season began airing on 24 August 2008 and run 91 days ending 23 November 2008. As with the previous series, the show involves 12 countries within Africa (Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia & Zimbabwe) each producing a contestant living in an isolated house in Johannesburg, South Africa, while trying to avoid being evicted by viewers and ultimately winning a large cash prize at the end of the show. The show is filmed in a house at Sasani Studios in Lyndhurst, Johannesburg. This season marks the closest vote in the history of the Big Brother (TV series), Big Brother series in Africa. Korpilahti
Korpilahti is a former municipality of Finland. Together with Jyväskylän maalaiskunta, Korpilahti was consolidated with Jyväskylä on January 1, 2009. It is located in the former province of Western Finland and is part of the Central Finland region. There are about 4,500 summer-time inhabitants visiting the 2,000 summer cottages. The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The municipality was also known as "Korpilax" in Swedish. Hyvinkää
Hyvinkää (; sv, Hyvinge, ) is a city and municipality of Finland. It is located in the Uusimaa region, approximately north of the capital Helsinki. The city was chartered in 1960.
