Luke Ramon DeVere (born 5 November 1989) is an Australian professional footballer who plays for A-League side Wellington Phoenix. DeVere made his debut for Australia in 2015, having previously played for the nation's under-20 and under-23 sides. Club career Early life DeVere is of French ancestry, and was educated at Brisbane Grammar School, where he played four years of First XI football and was coached by former Australian international Mark Brusasco. After graduating from Brisbane Grammar in 2006 and being part of the Queensland Academy of Sport Football Program in 2005 and 2006, DeVere was accepted into the Australian Institute of Sport. Corey Brown (footballer)
Corey Brown (born 7 January 1994) is an Australian soccer player who plays as a left back for Brisbane Roar in the A-League. He is the son of Rod Brown, who scored for Brisbane Strikers in the 1997 NSL Grand Final and held the record for most NSL goals scored (137 goals) playing throughout the 1980s and 1990s with Marconi, APIA-Leichhardt, Newcastle Breakers and Brisbane Strikers. Club career Brown attended a Brisbane all boys school, from grades 5 through to 10; Marist College Ashgrove. In 2009, Brown was awarded a scholarship with the Queensland Academy of Sport at the age of 15. Miguel Ángel García Pérez-Roldán (born 12 February 1981), known as Corona, is a Spanish football executive and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the current director of football of Valencia CF. After starting out at Real Madrid, Corona spent most of his career at Almería, appearing in 335 official matches and scoring 22 goals. The 2013–14 Brisbane Roar season was Roar's ninth season in the A-League. Having arguably fallen from their mantle of being the best team in the country, the Roar were striving to get back to title winning ways by any means necessary. The 2012–13 Brisbane Roar season was their eighth season in the A-League. As runner up in 2011–12, Brisbane were looking to continue their run of good form in the League, aiming to win their second Premiership. The Roar were also looking to replicate their Championship success which saw them become the first A-League team to win back-to-back Championships. To replicate their 2011–12 success, they would have to make history by making it to the Grand Final, as no team has ever qualified for three consecutive Grand Finals. Besart Berisha (born 29 July 1985) is a Kosovan retired professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career Youth and Hamburger SV Berisha began his youth career at German side Berliner VB 49 academies at age of 9. He then moved to various German teams, such as Berliner FC Dynamo, TSV Lichtenberg, SV Lichtenberg 47 until 2003, when he moved to NOFV-Oberliga club Tennis Borussia Berlin, where a 17-year-old Berisha won the national youth league's golden boot, outclassing future Germany strikers, Mario Gomez and Lukas Podolski. The 2011–12 season is Brisbane Roar's seventh season in the A-League. Brisbane successfully defended their Championship by defeating Perth Glory 2–1 in front of 50,344, but relinquished the Premiership to Central Coast Mariners, who ended the regular season 2 points ahead of the Roar, with the result going to down to the last day of the regular season. They will compete in the 2012 Asian Champions League, for finishing the regular season first.
