Brisbane Roar Football Club is an Australian professional association football, soccer club based in Brisbane, Queensland, Brisbane, Queensland and has won the domestic title on three occasions, as well as holding the longest unbeaten record of 36 league matches without defeat. Brisbane competes in the country's premier competition, the A-League, and has Warren Moon as manager. The club has a shared history with Queensland Lions FC, Queensland Lions F.C. who competed in the inaugural A-League season as Queensland Roar. Luke DeVere
Luke Ramon DeVere (born 5 November 1989) is an Australian professional footballer who plays for A-League side Wellington Phoenix. DeVere made his debut for Australia in 2015, having previously played for the nation's under-20 and under-23 sides. Club career Early life DeVere is of French ancestry, and was educated at Brisbane Grammar School, where he played four years of First XI football and was coached by former Australian international Mark Brusasco. After graduating from Brisbane Grammar in 2006 and being part of the Queensland Academy of Sport Football Program in 2005 and 2006, DeVere was accepted into the Australian Institute of Sport. Matt McKay
Matthew Graham McKay (born 11 January 1983) is a retired Australian professional footballer who last played for Australian A-League club Brisbane Roar, and previously with the Australian national team. McKay currently holds the club's record for league appearances, 272. McKay played for Brisbane Roar since their first season in the A-League, and was their club captain up until the 2010–11 season, in which he led Brisbane to their first ever A-League championship and premiership. Following this triumphant victory McKay sought a new challenge in the first division of the Scottish Premiership with Rangers. McKay played an integral role in Australia's second placing in the 2011 AFC Asian Cup notably with 30m cross to centre forward Harry Kewell. Mitchell Oxborrow
Mitchell Tony Oxborrow (born 18 February 1995) is an Australian professional football (soccer) player who plays as a central midfielder for Olympic Kingsway in NPL WA. Early life Oxborrow was born and raised in the East End of London until age ten, when he moved with his family to Perth. Oxborrow attended both Woodvale Primary School and Woodvale Secondary College where he competed in the football program. Oxborrow showed talent from a young age. Fahid Ben Khalfallah
Fahid Ben Khalfallah ( ar, فهيد بن خلف الله; born 9 October 1982) is a retired professional footballer who last played for and was head coach of Australian side Nunawading City. Born in France, he represented the Tunisia national team between 2008 and 2011. Jade Bronson North (born 7 January 1982) is an Aboriginal Australian former professional footballer who played as a centre back or right back. He was a member of the Australian national team, and is co-chair of Football Australia's inaugural National Indigenous Advisory Group. Early life Jade Bronson North was born in Taree, of Biripi descent. He lived in New Zealand until the age of 11, then moved back to Australia, taking up residence in the suburb of Sunnybank in Brisbane, with his brother Brook North and parents. Corey James Gameiro (born 7 February 1993) is an Australian football player of Portuguese ancestry who most recently played as a forward for A-League club Central Coast Mariners. Club career Fulham Gameiro signed a professional contract with Fulham in August 2009 and he signed a contract extension in May 2012 that saw him remain at Fulham until the summer 2013. Brett Holman
Brett Trevor Holman (born 27 March 1984) is a former Australian professional footballer who last played for Brisbane Roar in the A-League as an attacking midfielder. Born in Sydney, Holman played youth football for Northern Spirit before making his senior debut for Parramatta Power. He then moved to the Netherlands, where he played for a number of years before moving to Aston Villa in 2012 to play in the English Premier League. Holman moved to the UAE one year later, before returning to Australia to play for Brisbane Roar in 2016. Holman represented Australia over 60 times between 2006 and 2013, scoring eight goals. Thomas Fauerskov Kristensen (born 17 April 1983) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.
