"Boľavé námestie" (''Sore Square'') is the debut solo single by the female singer Marika Gombitová released on OPUS in 1977. The composition was written by Lehotský and Brezovská, being issued on the various artists compilation ''OPUS '77''. B-side of the single featured "Ty vieš, mama". Marika Gombitová
Marika Gombitová (; born 12 September 1956) is a Slovak singer-songwriter and musician. Once a member of Modus (band), Modus, Gombitová started to gain early acclaim as a former female vocalist of the group. Nevertheless, she gradually developed her publicity, public image as a solo artist, making Boľavé námestie, own debut on gramophone record, short play in 1977. Subsequently, after topping the local record chart, music charts with "Študentská láska" (1978), her debut studio album, set entitled ''Dievča do dažďa'' (1979) saw its eventual results on OPUS Records. The album's lead single, lead "Vyznanie", earned several music awards; most notably at the Intervision Song Contest, 4th Intervision Song Contest held in Poland (1980). In years to come later, the love song, love anthem was to be celebrated as "The Hit of the Century" (2007) in her country. OPUS Records
Opus was a major Czechoslovak state-owned record label and music publishing house based in Bratislava, now known as Opus a.s.. Background Opus was founded in 1971 and spun off as the Slovak division of music label Supraphon. As such, it was the first Slovak record label.
