Old GRA, Port Harcourt
The Old Government Reserved Area (Old GRA) is a neighborhood of the city of Port Harcourt, Rivers State in Nigeria. It was primarily inhabited by European settlers during colonial times and was then referred to as the ''European quarters''. Our Lady of Fatima College is a Roman Catholic, all-girls, boarding high school in Borokiri, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. It is located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Port Harcourt. Government Comprehensive Secondary School
Government Comprehensive Secondary School (GCSS) is the premier comprehensive secondary school in Nigeria. It is located in the Borokiri neighbourhood of Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, Nigeria. The school was established through the collaboration of the United States Government of John F. Kennedy represented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the then government of Eastern Region, Nigeria in 1962. Its foundation teaching staff were professors of the University of California, Los Angeles, led by Professor Lynne C. Monroe. ''The Tide'' is a Nigerian daily newspaper. It is the most widely circulated newspaper published in Port Harcourt, Rivers State and one of Nigeria's major newspapers. Owned and funded by the state, ''The Tide'' began printing operations on 1 December 1971 and has a digital version. Fire On 20 July 2012, a fire broke out in ''The Tide''s main building, damaging significant portions of the establishment, including the General Manager's office, Credit Control Unit, Administration General office and Board Room. Although no injuries or deaths were reported, much of the company's equipment and staff documents were destroyed. According to a statement from the General Manager Mr. Celestine Ogolo, the fire started at around 2.00a.m and quickly took over the highest floor of the building where his office was stationed.
