''Blokken'' (''Blocks'') is a Belgian quiz show based on the video game ''Tetris''. It is broadcast by één and hosted by Belgian television personality Ben Crabbé. The show is the longest running quiz show on Belgian television, with 22 seasons. On 10 December 2017 the show aired its 5000th episode. Rounds Round 1 Ben asks a series of 8 (originally 10) questions. The first contestant to buzz in with the correct answer picks up 10 points and drops 2 pieces on the game board. When a line on the board is created, it is cleared, and the contestant finishing that line earns a 50-point bonus. Round 2 Each contestant plays separately. The contestant with the most points from the first round temporarily leaves and gets to listen to music. Meanwhile, the other contestant will play the round. Benjamin Bert Carl (Ben) Crabbé (Tienen, 12 November 1962) is a famous Belgian quizmaster, talkshow host and musician. He became well known as drummer in Belgian rockband De Kreuners. Tetris
''Tetris'' (russian: link=no, Тетрис) is a puzzle video game created by Soviet software engineer Alexey Pajitnov in 1984. It has been published by several companies for multiple platforms, most prominently during a dispute over the appropriation of the rights in the late 1980s. After a significant period of publication by Nintendo, the rights reverted to Pajitnov in 1996, who co-founded the Tetris Company with Henk Rogers to manage licensing. In ''Tetris'', players complete lines by moving differently shaped pieces (tetrominoes), which descend onto the playing field. The completed lines disappear and grant the player points, and the player can proceed to fill the vacated spaces. The game ends when the uncleared lines reach the top of the playing field. Eén
Eén (stylized as één; en, "one") is a public Dutch-language TV station in Belgium, owned by the VRT, which also owns Ketnet, Canvas and several radio stations. Although the channel is commercial-free, short sponsorship messages are broadcast in between some programmes. Eén focuses on drama, entertainment, news and current affairs in a similar vein to BBC One in the United Kingdom. Regi Penxten (born Reginald Paul Stefan Penxten on 4 March 1976) is a Belgian DJ and record producer, of many eurodance and trance projects in Belgium, including Milk Inc. and Sylver. Better known by his mononym Regi, he has released three solo albums, which all reached the top ten of the Belgian album charts: ''Best Of'' (2005), ''Registrated'' (2007) and ''Registrated 2'' (2010). Regi also had a number of charting singles in the Belgian Ultratop charts and two charting in the Netherlands. Career At the end of 2007, he released his first solo-album, REGIstrated, which received a golden record before its release. The first produced was the song " Turn the Tide" in 2000. As one of the main members of Milk Inc., he has had a further 27 hit singles in the Ultratop, 22 of them inside the top ten, with four number 1 singles. Bent Van Looy
Bent Van Looy (born 3 May 1976) is a Belgian-Flemish musician, singer and songwriter. He has been the frontman and singer for Das Pop, the Belgian band he founded in Ghent in 1994 together with schoolfriends Reinhard Vanbergen, Niek Meul and Lieven Moors. He was also the drummer of Soulwax, a project of the Dewaele brothers. Van Looy recorded solo albums, presented on TV and radio, and is a painter. In Das Pop Bent Van Looy's band Das Pop was initially called Things to Come, but the band later changed its name to Das Pop. The band has released four albums: ''I ♥'' (2000), ''The Human Thing'' (2003), Das Pop (2009) and ''The Game'' (2011).
