Blanca Avelina Treviño de Vega (Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico) is president and executive director of Softtek, a Mexican information and communication technologies company, the largest independent service provider in Latin America. Education Treviño earned her bachelor's in 1981 in computer systems administration at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Studies, Monterrey Campus. At first, she regretted choosing the major, as all her classmates were men and she was intimidated. However, her father had already started to brag about how his daughter was studying the then new field and told her that he could not accept a daughter who was afraid. So, she stuck with it.
