Bill Leonard (politician)
William R. Leonard (born October 29, 1947) is a Republican U.S. politician who served as a member of the California State Board of Equalization from 2002 until his resignation in March 2010. Early life After earning his B.A. in history from the University of California, Irvine, Leonard worked in real estate and property management. Political career Leonard served on the Board of Directors of the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District before being elected to the California State Assembly in 1978 on the coattails of Proposition 13. In 1988, after serving five terms in the Assembly, he was elected to the California State Senate, representing an district. During his time in the Senate, Leonard was the longest-serving Republican Caucus Chairman, holding the post from 1990 until term limits forced him to leave the Senate in 1996. Robert Dutton
Robert Dale Dutton (October 13, 1950 – July 23, 2022) was an American politician of the Republican Party. After serving two years as a State Assemblyman for the 63rd district, from 2002 to 2004, Dutton served as a State Senator representing the 31st district from 2004 to 2012, and was the state senate's minority leader from 2010 to 2012. He made an unsuccessful run for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012. In 2014, he was elected as Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk of San Bernardino County and re-elected in 2018, holding the position until his death. Lewis (born November 2, 1954) is a Republican politician from California who represented Orange County in the California State Senate from 1991 until 2000 and in the California State Assembly from 1980 until 1991. Charles Jeremy Lewis (October 21, 1934 – July 15, 2021) was an American politician who was a U.S. representative, last serving . He was first elected to Congress in 1978, and previously represented the 40th, 35th, and 37th districts. A Republican, he was chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, serving in that role during the 109th Congress.
