Triin Aljand
Triin Aljand (born 8 July 1985) is a retired Estonian swimmer who won a silver medal at the 2012 European Aquatics Championships in 50 m butterfly. She competed in the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics in the 50 m and 100 m freestyle and 100 butterfly, but never reached the finals. She also participated in multiple FINA World Aquatics Championships. She attended Texas A&M University, where she swam for the women's varsity team. On 21 November 2008 she broke the National Collegiate Athletic Association record for the 50-yard freestyle with her time of 21.61, though the record was disqualified after it was found the pool was just over one inch short. Ulvi Voog
Ulvi Indrikson (née Voog; born 18 February 1937) is an Estonian former freestyle swimmer who won a silver medal in the 4×100 m medley relay at the 1958 European Aquatics Championships. She also competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics in the 100 m and 4×100 m freestyle and finished eighth in the 4×100 m relay. During her career she won 11 national (USSR) titles: in the 100 m freestyle (1955–58, 60), 400 m freestyle (1956–60) and 4×100 m freestyle (1958), and set 10 national records. Voog graduated from the University of Tartu. She started training in swimming in 1952 and after retirement in 1967 worked as a swimming coach for Dünamo Tallinn (1967–92) and the Soviet swimming team (1977). World Aquatics Championships
The FINA World Championships or World Aquatics Championships are the World Championships for aquatics sports: swimming, diving, high diving, open water swimming, artistic swimming, and water polo. They are run by FINA, and all swimming events are contested in a long course (50-metre) pool. The event was first held in 1973 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, and is now held every two years. From 1978 to 1998, the World Championships were held every four years, in the even years between Summer Olympic years. From 2001 until 2019, the Championships have been held every two years, in the odd years.
