Bentot Jr.
Bentot Jr. (born Luisito "Louie" Garcia Medina; January 8, 1970 – May 2, 2016) was a Filipino actor, and the adopted son of the late comedian Bentot. He had an older brother, Nick Medina, who is also known as Bentot Jr. Background Bentot Jr.'s first movie role was at the age of 3.5 yrs old and made 14 more movies up until 1985, when he left the film industry in favor of his studies. He returned to the industry in 2000 up to his last movie, ''Djagwar'' in 2011. He played "Lando" in Philippines' movie '' Panday''. He made his first international appearance in the Bruceploitation movie ''The Return of Bruce'' with Bruce Le and Elizabeth Oropesa. Arturo Vergara Medina (13 July 1920 – 19 June 1986), better known by his stage name Bentot or Ben Cosca, was a Filipino comedian and vaudevillian who spent most of his career under LVN Pictures. He had many box office hits with another famed comedian Pugo who played his father in their films. He also appeared on the Manila bodabil circuit in its heyday in the fifties and early sixties. The Panday (Filipino for smith) is a fictional Philippine comics character created by writer Carlo J. Caparas and artist Steve Gan. His stories were first serialized in the comic series ''Ang Panday'' ("The Smith") in ''Pilipino Komiks'' during the late 1970s. The character, whose real name is Flavio, became a Philippine pop culture icon since it was adapted to film ('' Ang Panday)'' in 1980 with Fernando Poe Jr. portraying Flavio and Max Alvarado as his archenemy Lizardo. Metro Manila Film Festival
The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is an annual film festival held in Metro Manila, Philippines. The festival, which runs from December 25 (Christmas) through New Year's Day and into first weekend of January in the following year, focuses on Filipino films. During the course of the festival, movie theaters show only films that are approved by its jurors and exclude foreign films except in 3D theaters and IMAX theaters. Since 2010s, film entries were played in select 3D cinemas that it can show movies in 2D format. It is one of the two Filipino major film festivals to exclude movies out of the country in a week-long period, the other being the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino happening during August. Ronald Allan Kelley Poe (August 20, 1939 – December 14, 2004), known professionally as Fernando Poe Jr., and often referred to by his initials FPJ, was a Filipino actor, film director, producer, screenwriter, and politician. Darna () is a Filipina superheroine created by writer Mars Ravelo and artist Nestor Redondo. The character's first appearance was in ''Pilipino Komiks'' (Ace Publications, Inc.) #77 on May 13, 1950. ''Ang Panday'' () is a 1980 Filipino action-fantasy film produced and directed by Fernando Poe Jr., who also stars as the titular character.
