Bengaluru International Short Film Festival
Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (BISFF) is an annual short film festival held in Bengaluru, India. Held first in 2010, it previews and showcases selected short films, in categories such as International, Indian, Karnataka, Animation, and non-competition category. These films are of less than 50 minutes in duration. Event history BISFF 2014 The 2014 edition of BISFF was held in the month of August. It received more than 500 short film submissions from 55 countries. The movie ''Seuls'' by Sami Kali was adjudged as the Best Short film, while ''I Am Sami'' by Kae Bahar was also awarded. BISFF 2015 ''Nooru Rupayi'', a Kannada short film, won an award at BISFF 2015 and was also screened at the Washington DC South Asian Film Festival. A short film is any motion picture that is short enough in running time not to be considered a feature film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits". In the United States, short films were generally termed short subjects from the 1920s into the 1970s when confined to two 35 mm reels or less, and featurettes for a film of three or four reels. Kaveh Mazaheri ( fa, کاوه مظاهری; born 14 September 1981 in Tehran) is an Iranian Director and Scriptwriter. He started his work by writing a film critique in magazines.
