The Angolan Men's Basketball League, (in Portuguese: Campeonato Nacional de Basquetebol em Séniores Masculinos) is the top tier men’s basketball league in Angola. The league was formerly known as BAI Basket, BIC Basket and Unitel Basket, named after its major sponsors, formerly Banco Africano de Investimentos, Banco de Investimento e Crédito and Unitel (Angola), Unitel, the competition is organized by the Angolan Basketball Federation. Lobito
Lobito is a Municipalities of Angola, municipality in Angola. It is located in Benguela Province, on the Atlantic Coast north of the Catumbela Estuary. The Lobito municipality had a population of 393,079 in 2014. History The city was founded in 1843 and owes its existence to the bay of the same name having been chosen as the sea terminus of the Benguela railway to the far interior, passing through Luau, Moxico, Luau to Katanga Province, Katanga in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Clube Ferroviário De Luanda (basketball)
The Clube Ferroviário de Luanda (in English: Railway Club Luanda) is an Angolan basketball team based in Luanda. It is the basketball section of the multi-sports club with the same name. In the past, they have also played in Angolan Basketball League, winning the national title in 1979. While the club has currently not been involved in any official competitions at the senior level, Clube Ferroviário is one of the most traditional clubs in Luanda and the one to have won the first national basketball championship after the country's independence. The Pavilhão Anexo is an Angolan state-owned indoor arena located in Complexo Desportivo da Cidadela, Luanda. The arena, with a 1500-seat capacity, is the second to be built in the Cidadela Sports Compound, following the Pavilhão da Cidadela. Universidade LusÃada De Angola (basketball)
The Universidade LusÃada de Angola, also known as U.L.A. was an Angolan semi-professional basketball team which is named after its major sponsor, the Angolan LusÃadas University. The men's team made its debut at the Angolan premier basketball league (BAI Basket) at the 2006–07 season whereas the women's team was established in February 2014 as it took over Juventude de Viana's women's basketball team, following the latter's disbanding. Pavilhão Victorino Cunha, formerly Pavilhão do CODENM a.k.a. Pavilhão do Rio Seco is the Arena of Angolan side Primeiro de Agosto, mainly used for its Men's and Women's basketball teams.
