André Oscar Wallenberg
André Oscar Wallenberg (19 November 1816 – 12 January 1886) was a Sweden, Swedish banker, industrialist, naval officer, Business magnate, newspaper tycoon, politician and a patriarch of the Wallenberg family. In 1856 Wallenberg founded the Stockholms Enskilda Bank, the predecessor of today's Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken. Early life He was son of the bishop of Linköping, Marcus Wallenberg (bishop), Marcus Wallenberg (1774–1833), and his wife Anna Laurentia Barfoth (1783–1862). During his stay in Lund, Marcus Wallenberg had become acquainted with and fell in love with Anna Laurentia Barfoth, the daughter of the medical professor Anders Eilert Barfoth and Ebba Bager, who belonged to a prominent Danish-Scanian family. Linköping () is a city in southern Sweden, with around 105,000 inhabitants as of 2021. It is the seat of Linköping Municipality and the capital of Östergötland County. Lund (, , ) is a city in the southern Swedish provinces of Sweden, province of Scania, across the Øresund, Öresund strait from Copenhagen. The town had 91,940 inhabitants out of a municipal total of 121,510 . It is the seat of Lund Municipality, Scania County. The Royal Danish Navy ( da, Søværnet) is the sea-based branch of the Danish Defence force. Karlskrona (, , ) is a locality and the seat of Karlskrona Municipality, Blekinge County, Sweden with a population of 66,675 in 2018. It is also the capital of Blekinge County. Katedralskolan (literally ''The Cathedral School''), in Linköping, Sweden, is a secondary school, run by Linköping Municipality, which offers Swedish programmes in social sciences and natural sciences as well as (since 2001) the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The school is located in the neighbourhood of Vasastaden. Founded in 1627, it is the fifth oldest gymnasium in Sweden, after the Rudbeckianska gymnasiet in Västerås, Thomasgymnasiet in Strängnäs, Katedralskolan in Uppsala and Katedralskolan in Lund. Trivial schools ( sv, trivialskolan, fi, triviaalikoulu) were schools in Sweden and its integrated part Finland from the early 17th century, in Sweden to 1905. Trivial schools were the second grade of education in the 1649 school reform of Queen Christina. First grade was Pedagogium, followed by Trivial school and Gymnasium. Education in Trivial schools was given in three subjects; grammar including Latin and Greek, rhetoric and dialectic. The school lasted for eight years, having four two-year classes.
