Amy Chan (badminton)
Amy Chan MBE ( zh, p=Chén Niàncí, t=陳念慈; also known as Chan Lim Chee; born 27 June 1961) is a retired badminton player from Hong Kong who won gold medals in World championships and Commonwealth games. About Chan has two brothers and one sister (Chen Aici), who grew up in the East Block of North Point New Village on Hong Kong Island in her early years. Her father was a clerk. She graduated from Ho Tung Government Industrial Girls' High School (now renamed Ho Tung Middle School) in 1980, and then enrolled in Luo Phu Quoc Education College, and completed the physical education course in 1983. She then graduated from the Department of Physical Education of Springfield University in 1991. Chan won the women's singles championship in nine Hong Kong badminton tournaments from 1975 to 1983. Park Joo-bong (Hangul: 박주봉; Hanja: 朴柱奉; born 5 December 1964) is a former badminton player from South Korea who excelled from the early 1980s through the mid-1990s. Career Park is one of the most successful players ever in the World Badminton Championships with 5 titles, 2 of them in men's doubles and 3 in mixed doubles. He also won a gold and a silver medal at the Summer Olympics and 9 All England Open Badminton Championships titles. Sara Sankey née Sara Halsall (born 29 September 1967) is a retired English badminton player. Badminton career In 1990, Sankey represented England when she attended the Commonwealth Games where she won gold medals in the mixed team event and with Fiona Smith in the women's doubles event.
