Athletic Union of Zakaki ( el, Αθλητική Ένωση Ζακακίου) is a Cypriot football club based in Zakaki, Limassol. The club was founded in 1956. Their colours are green and white and they play in Zakaki Municipal Stadium. Chairman The Chairman of AEZ Zakakiou, Stelios Christou, holds a unique record. He was one of the founders of the club in 1956, and he has been involved in the management of the club since 1957, and from 1986 leads the club as a chairman. The 2016–17 Cypriot First Division was the 78th season of the Cypriot top-level football league. The season began on 20 August 2016 and ended on 21 May 2017. The fixtures were announced on 7 July 2016. APOEL were the defending champions. APOEL were crowned champions for the 26th time and a fifth time in a row, securing the title after beating title arch-rivals Omonia 3–1 at the GSP Stadium on 13 May 2017. The Cypriot Fourth Division ( el, Τέταρτη Κατηγορία) was the fourth tier football league competition in Cyprus, ran by the Cyprus Football Association. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league were promoted to the Cypriot Third Division, and the lowest finishing teams were relegated to the amateur leagues. History The Cypriot Fourth Division started the 1985–86 football season as the fourth level of the Cypriot football. The decision was taken by CFA on 23 July 1985. 2019–20 Cypriot Second Division
The 2019–20 Cypriot Second Division is the 65th season of the Cypriot second-level Association football, football league. It began on 20 September 2019 and ended in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Format Sixteen teams are divided into 2 groups of 8 teams each (Groups A and B). Each plays the others from its own group twice, home and away, for a total of 14 games each, over 14 game weeks. Teams in places 1-4 of each group qualify for Premier Group where the first two teams were promoted to the Cypriot First Division, First Division, and the rest for Standard Group where the last four teams would be relegated to the Cypriot Third Division, Third Division - however due to the pandemic, no teams were relegated this season.
