Asad Shafiq
Asad Shafiq ( ur, ; born 28 January 1986) is a Pakistani cricketer who played for Pakistan national cricket team between 2010 and 2020. As of the 2021/22 season, he plays for Sindh in domestic cricket. Shafiq hails from a Gujarati family. He is fluent in Urdu and English, while he can speak Gujarati partly and understands it. In August 2018, he was one of thirty-three players to be awarded a central contract for the 2018–19 season by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). In September 2019, he was named in Sindh's squad for the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament. Career Early career (2007–2010) Asad Shafiq made his first-class debut at 21 years old for Karachi Whites against Hyderabad at Niaz Stadium on 21 October 2007. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Faisalabad Cricket Team
Faisalabad Cricket Team was one of the eight regional first-class cricket clubs, based in Faisalabad, Pakistan. Its limited overs team was called Faisalabad Wolves. Kit colours are White for first-class cricket matches and Green for one-day and 20/20 competitions. They lost their first-class status when they were relegated from the 2016–17 Pakistan Super League. Khalid Latif (cricketer)
Khalid Latif ( ur, ; born 4 November 1985) is a Pakistani former cricketer who has been banned for five years, for his involvement in spot-fixing. A right-handed opening batsman, Latif captained Pakistan in the 2004 U-19 Cricket World Cup win and the 2010 Asian Games bronze medal win. Career Khalid Latif was captain of the Pakistani side which won the Under-19 World Cup in 2004. He was the highest scorer for Pakistan at the 2004 U-19 World Cup, scoring 291 runs in eight innings. Latif made his One Day International (ODI) debut at Faisalabad against Zimbabwe in 2008 and the same year he made his Twenty20 International debut against Zimbabwe. Niaz Stadium
The Niaz Stadium is a cricket ground in Hyderabad, Pakistan. The ground has a capacity of 7,000 and hosted its first test match in 1973. It was established in November 1961 by then Commissioner of Hyderabad, Niaz Ahmed, and the stadium is named after him. The first ever hat-trick in One Day Internationals was taken by Pakistan's Jalal-ud-Din at this stadium during Australia's 1982-83 tour of Pakistan. Jalal-ud-Din removed Rod Marsh, Bruce Yardley and Geoff Lawson with the last three balls of his seventh over. Pakistan restricted Australia for 170 for 9 to win by 59 runs. Hyderabad was a first-class cricket team based in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan. Their home ground was the Niaz Stadium. In first-class cricket they participate in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy. 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy
The 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Pakistan from 14 September to 31 December 2019. Habib Bank Limited were the defending champions. However, after the new domestic structure announced by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), six newly formed regional teams played in the tournament. During the opening round of fixtures, a concussion substitute was used for the first time in a domestic cricket match in Pakistan. In the match between Southern Punjab and Central Punjab, Mohammad Saad replaced Usman Salahuddin in Central Punjab's team on the second day of the match.
