Faisalabad Cricket Team
Faisalabad Cricket Team was one of the eight regional first-class cricket clubs, based in Faisalabad, Pakistan. Its limited overs team was called Faisalabad Wolves. Kit colours are White for first-class cricket matches and Green for one-day and 20/20 competitions. They lost their first-class status when they were relegated from the 2016–17 Pakistan Super League. In April 2017, they regained their first-class status after beating Multan and as a result played in the 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament. Faisalabad Wolves
The Faisalabad Wolves was a domestic limited overs cricket team based in Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan. The team was established in 2004 and its home ground was Iqbal Stadium. The team were champions in the maiden season 2004–05 of the ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup now known as Faysal Bank T20 Cup The team are champions because they won the only International 20:20 Club Championship which was played in England in September 2005. Mohammad Ramzan (cricketer, Born 1970)
Muhammad Ramzan (Urdu: محمد رمضان) (born 25 December 1970) is a former Pakistani cricketer who played in one Test match in 1997. Ramzan was a consistent player on the Pakistani domestic scene for a number of seasons most notably with United Bank Limited, Khan Research Labs and his home city Faisalabad. After many strong performances he was finally given his chance of a Test Match debut in 1997 alongside Azhar Mahmood and Ali Naqvi. Iqbal Stadium ( ur, اقبال سٹیڈیم) is a Test cricket ground in Faisalabad, Pakistan. Previous names for the ground include Lyallpur Stadium, National Stadium, and City Stadium. Quaid-i-Azam Trophy
The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is a domestic first-class cricket competition in Pakistan. With few exceptions, it has been staged annually since it was first played during the 1953–54 season. Domestic cricket in Pakistan has undergone many reorganisations, with the number of teams and matches in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy changing regularly. Since the 2019–20 season it has been contested by six regional teams, having previously been variously contested by associations or departments, or a combination of the two. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. Multan Cricket Team
The Multan cricket team was a first-class cricket team based in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan. Their home ground was the Multan Cricket Stadium. They participated in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. For List A and Twenty20 cricket the team were known as the Multan Tigers and they participate in the various Pakistan List A competitions and in the Faysal Bank T20 Cup. 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy
The 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was the 60th edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistan's domestic first-class cricket competition. It was contested by 16 teams representing eight regional associations and eight departments, and took place from 26 September to 25 December 2017, spanning almost two weeks less than originally planned. Pakistan's former Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq was critical of the compressed schedule and the quality of the pitches saying "it takes time to prepare a good pitch for a game and nobody can make it in two days". The format of the competition remained the same as the previous season, with two round-robin group stages and a final. The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league contested during February and March of every year by six teams representing six cities of Pakistan. The league was founded on 9 September 2015 with five teams by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Instead of operating as an association of independently-owned teams, the league is a single entity in which each franchise is owned and controlled by investors. Each team plays the group stage matches in a double round robin format; the top four teams with the most points qualify for the playoffs, culminating in the final.
