Artem Darenskyi
Artem Andriyovych Darenskyi ( uk, Артем Андрійович Даренський; born 7 July 2001) is a Ukrainian pair skater who currently competes with Sofiia Holichenko. With his former skating partner, Sofiia Nesterova, he is a two-time Ukrainian national senior champion. The pair has competed in the final segment at two World Junior Championships, finishing within the top eight at the 2019 edition. Career Early years Darenskyi began learning to skate in 2004. His first pair skating partner was Anastasiia Smirnova. The two won silver at the 2016 Ukrainian Junior Championships and gold the following season. 2017–2018 season Smirnova/Darenskyi became age-eligible for junior international events at the start of the season. Coached by Lilia Batutina in Dnipro, the pair competed at two ISU Junior Grand Prix assignments, placing 9th in Riga, Latvia, and then 11th in Minsk, Belarus. 2020 European Figure Skating Championships
The 2020 European Figure Skating Championships were held in Graz, Austria, on 20–26 January 2020. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dance. The competition determined the entry quotas for each federation at the 2021 European Championships. Qualification Age and minimum TES requirements The competition is open to skaters from all European member nations of the International Skating Union. The corresponding competition for non-European skaters is the 2020 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships. The 2021 CS Nebelhorn Trophy was held on September 22–25, 2021 in Oberstdorf, Germany. It was part of the 2021–22 ISU Challenger Series. It was also the final qualifying event for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance. In December 2020, the International Skating Union designated Nebelhorn Trophy as the official figure skating qualification competition for the 2022 Winter Olympics. 2021 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2021 World Figure Skating Championships were held in Stockholm, Sweden from March 22–28, 2021. Figure skaters competed for the title of world champion in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dance. The competition was used to determine the entry quotas for each federation at the 2022 World Championships and was the first qualification event for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Stockholm was announced as the host in June 2018. It was the first time that Stockholm had hosted the World Championships since 1947 and the first time that Sweden had hosted since 2008. The World Championships were the only ISU Championship event held during the 2020–21 season, as the European, Four Continents, and World Junior Championships were all cancelled.
