Armenia In The Eurovision Song Contest 2010
Armenia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Apricot Stone" written by Armen Martirosyan and Karen Kavaleryan. The song was performed by Eva Rivas. The Armenian entry for the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway was selected through the national final ''Evrotesil 2010'', organised by the Armenian broadcaster Public Television of Armenia (AMPTV). The national final took place on 14 February 2010 where ten entries competed. "Apricot Stone" performed by Eva Rivas was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from a professional jury and a public televote. Armenia was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 27 May 2010. Performing during the show in position 2, "Apricot Stone" was announced among the top 10 entries of the second semi-final and therefore qualified to compete in the final on 29 May. Inga & Anush Arshakyan
Inga and Anush Arshakyan ( hy, Ինգա և Անուշ Արշակյաններ) or the Arshakyan Sisters ( hy, Արշակյան քույրեր) are an Armenian folk singing duo. The sisters represented Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, eventually finishing in 10th place in the final. Early life Anush was born on 24 December 1980 in Yerevan. She graduated from S. Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 was the seventh edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest and took place in Kyiv, Ukraine. It was scheduled for 21 November 2009. 13 countries were confirmed by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to compete in the contest. The contest was won by Ralf Mackenbach for the Netherlands with the song "Click Clack". At the age of 14, he was the oldest person to win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in its seven-year history.
