Armando Pantanelli
Armando Pantanelli (born 1 June 1971) is an Italian former professional Association football, football Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Playing career Born in Turin, Pantanelli spent his childhood in Parma, and began his footballing career with A.C. Reggiana 1919, A.C. Reggiana, and from 1992 to 2006, he played for a host of other clubs, appearing in over 400 matches in the Serie C2, Serie C1, and Serie B, before making his Serie A debut in the Serie A 2006-07, 2006–07 season after Calcio Catania earned promotion to the premier division. After a feud with the club management, he moved to U.S. Avellino 1912, Avellino in the summer of 2007. Pantanelli is famous for his mane of hair kept out of his eyes with a baseball cap rather than the conventional headband. He has also captained Catania on a number of occasions. Lega Pro Prima Divisione
Lega Pro Prima Divisione was the third highest football league in Italy. It consisted of 33 teams, divided geographically into two divisions of 16 and 17 teams for group A and B respectively. Until 2008 it was known as Serie C1. Before the 1978–79 season there were only three leagues of professional football in Italy, the third being Serie C. In 1978, it was decided to split Serie C into Serie C1 and Serie C2. Serie C2, the fourth highest professional league in the Italian system, was also renamed in 2008 and was called Lega Pro Seconda Divisione. The reform, already decided by the FIGC led to the reunification with the second division starting from 2014-2015 and with the subsequent rebirth of the third division championship organized by the pro league with 60 teams divided into three groups of 20 in Lega Pro. Vitangelo Spadavecchia (born 25 November 1982) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Bari Spadavecchia joined Bari in mid-2000. Spadavecchia joined Pescara on 25 August 2006. Andria In December 2009 Bari released Spadavecchia who played as a backup; he joined third tier club Andria in January 2010. Match fixing scandal On 11 October 2011 Spadavecchia was banned 3 years and 3 months for match fixing (until 1 January 2015). The suspected match was on 5 April 2009, Juve Stabia 1–0 Sorrento. His former teammate Cristian Biancone also banned, along with Roberto Amodio (sports director of Juve Stabia) and Antonino Castellano (chairman of Sorrento). Ciro Polito (born 12 April 1979) is an Italian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. As of 2017, he has worked as technical director of Juve Stabia. Career Salernitana Ciro Polito began his football career with the youth system of Salerno based club, Salernitana Sport, in the mid-1990s, and began to earn senior call-ups in 1997. Despite often being called up during the 1997–98 season, Polito was loaned out to Rimini for the 1998–99 season, and managed to earn a starting position for much of the season. With the club, Polito made 29 league appearances and returned to Salerno in 1999, but the young goalkeeper never earned a senior debut for his near-hometown club. The ("Italy Cup") is an annual knockout cup competition in Italian football organized by the FIGC until the 2009–10 season and the Lega Serie A ever since. History The beginning of the tournament was turbulent, due to the complexity of the participation of the teams in the tournament, since its inception in 1921, the Italian championship was divided into two groups. On the one hand the CCI Championship (Italian Football Confederation) and on the other the FIGC championship ( Italian Football Federation).
