Anssi Kankkonen
Anssi Kankkonen (born 11 October 1968) is a Finnish professional golfer who played on the European Tour. Kankkonen was born in Lahti, the son of former Olympic ski jumping champion Veikko Kankkonen, and followed in his father's footsteps winning a team competition in the Finnish Championships with the Lahti Ski Club team in 1985, before turning to golf. As an amateur, he represented Finland at the 1990 Eisenhower Trophy. He turned professional in 1990 and played on the Swedish Golf Tour before joining the Challenge Tour. Kankkonen recorded his first Challenge Tour win at the 1995 SIAB Open, and almost won another tournament back-to-back, losing a playoff to Thomas Bjørn at the Himmerland Open The Himmerland Open was a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour, played in Denmark. Lahti (; sv, Lahtis) is a city and municipality in Finland. It is the capital of the region of Päijänne Tavastia (Päijät-Häme) and its growing region is one of the main economic hubs of Finland. The Ivory Coast Open or Open de Côte d'Ivoire was a golf tournament in the Ivory Coast. It was founded in 1980, and was an event on the Safari Circuit the following year. Thomas Bratboel Nielsen (16 March 1974) is a former Danish cricketer. Nielsen was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium. Farooq represented Denmark Under-19's in 4 youth One Day Internationals in 1998, He later made his debut for Denmark in a List A match against Northamptonshire in the 1st round of the 2005 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy. Nicolas Vanhootegem (born 7 October 1972) is a Belgian professional golfer. Career Vanhootegem was born in Brussels. He won several tree international tournaments as an amateur, including the Belgium international, the Luxembourg international and the Welsh Open Stroke Play, turned professional in 1994. He has spent his career fluctuating between membership of the main European Tour and the second tier Challenge Tour. 1995 Challenge Tour
The 1995 Challenge Tour was the seventh season of the Challenge Tour, the official development tour to the European Tour. The tour started as the Satellite Tour with its first Order of Merit rankings in 1989 and was officially renamed as the Challenge Tour at the start of the 1990 season. The Challenge Tour Rankings were won by Denmark's Thomas Bjørn. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 1995 season. Kalle Väinölä
Kalle Väinölä (born 15 December 1971) is a retired Finnish professional golfer who played on the Challenge Tour and European Tour 1995–2004. Career Väinölä's family moved to a new house adjacent to a golf course when he was two years old, and he took up the game when he was four. An all-round sportsman, he gave up golf when he was 13 to concentrate on tennis but he returned to the game at 17 and went on to play for his native Finland, winning the Finnish Amateur, the Greek Open Amateur and the European Club Cup. In 1992 he won the EGA Trophy representing continental Europe along with eight players including Thomas Bjørn and Niclas Fasth, against a Great Britain & Ireland team that included Pádraig Harrington. Väinölä turned professional in 1994 and won a Swedish Golf Tour card, which in turn brought him a Challenge Tour ranking.
