Andriy Vorobei
Andriy Oleksiyovych Vorobey ( uk, Андрій Олексійович Воробей; born 29 November 1978) is a Ukrainian retired football striker. He was a three times national champion while playing for FC Shakhtar Donetsk. In 2000 the magazine Komanda recognized him as the best player in the league. During his career Vorobey netted over 100 goals in the Ukrainian Premier League, while in the 2000-01 season he became the league's top scorer. When playing for the national team he was second striker under Andriy Shevchenko. While playing in Shakhtar Donetsk he started as a centre forward, but he became second striker behind Brandão. Career Shakhtar Donetsk Vorobey started his career in Shakhtar Donetsk in 1994. He was promoted to the senior team in 1997. In the 2000–01 season Vorobey was the leading scorer with 21 goals. Donetsk ( , ; uk, Донецьк, translit=Donets'k ; russian: Донецк ), formerly known as Aleksandrovka, Yuzivka (or Hughesovka), Stalin and Stalino (see also: Names of European cities in different languages (C–D), cities' alternative names), is an industrial city in eastern Ukraine located on the Kalmius River in Donetsk Oblast. Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them. The Ukrainian Super Cup ( uk , Суперкубок України) is an association football game of the Ukrainian Premier League in traditional super cup format that acts as the grand-opening for every new football (soccer), football competition season in Ukraine. Originally it was set as a contest between the winners of the previous season's Ukrainian Premier League, Ukrainian Championship and Ukrainian Cup. The Ukrainian Cup ( uk, Кубок України) is an association football national knockout cup competition run by the Ukrainian Association of Football. The competition is conducted almost exclusively among professional clubs. Since the 2003–04 season, the Cup winner qualifies to play the Ukrainian Premier League winner for the Ukrainian Super Cup. Current format The format of this competition consists of two stages: a qualification stage with two rounds followed by the main event (four rounds and the final game). The competition involves all professional clubs plus the two finalists of the Ukrainian Amateur Cup (since 2011). The Faroe Islands national football team ( fo, Føroyska fótbóltsmanslandsliðið) represents the Faroe Islands in association football and is governed by the Faroe Islands Football Association (FSF). The FSF became a member of FIFA in 1988 and UEFA in 1990 and represents the fourth-smallest UEFA country by population. The 2006 FIFA World Cup, also branded as Germany 2006, was the 18th FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international football world championship tournament. It was held from 9 June to 9 July 2006 in Germany, which had won the right to host the event in July 2000. 2007–08 UEFA Cup
The 2007–08 UEFA Cup was the 37th edition of the UEFA Cup, UEFA's second-tier club football tournament. The final was played at the City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester, England on 14 May 2008 between Rangers of Scotland and Zenit Saint Petersburg of Russia. Zenit won the match 2–0, with goals from Igor Denisov and Konstantin Zyryanov, to claim their first UEFA Cup title. The first qualifying games were played on 19 July 2007 and the main tournament commenced on 20 September 2007.
