Ukrainian Super Cup
The Ukrainian Super Cup ( uk , Суперкубок України) is an association football game of the Ukrainian Premier League in traditional super cup format that acts as the grand-opening for every new football (soccer), football competition season in Ukraine. Originally it was set as a contest between the winners of the previous season's Ukrainian Premier League, Ukrainian Championship and Ukrainian Cup. From 2008 through 2014, it was branded as the Inter Super Cup of Ukraine, in 2017 – Super Cup Fokstrot. 2021 Ukrainian Super Cup
The 2021 Ukrainian Super Cup was the 18th edition of Ukrainian Super Cup, an annual football match contested by the previous season's Ukrainian Premier League champions and Ukrainian Cup winners Dynamo Kyiv and league runners-up Shakhtar Donetsk. Dynamo Kyiv were the defending champions for the third consecutive year, after winning the trophy in 2018, 2019, and 2020, all against Shakhtar Donetsk. Unlike most previous editions, the Super Cup was not a season opener, but was scheduled in the middle of the season instead. Chornomorets Stadium
The Chernomorets Stadium (, ''Stadium "Chornomorets'"'') is a football stadium built in 2011 in Odesa, Ukraine. The stadium has a capacity of 34,164 and is the home of FC Chornomorets Odesa. The inaugural match, between FC Chornomorets Odesa and FC Karpaty Lviv, was played on 19 November 2011, and ended with a 2–2 draw. The first goal was scored by Vitaliy Balashov in the 46th minute from a penalty. The stadium was constructed on the site of the old Soviet multi-use Central Stadium of the Black Sea Shipping Company (ChMP), which was demolished in 2009. The venue was considered to be one of the stadiums of UEFA Euro 2012 but failed to be nominated as such. There is an ongoing renovation of the stadium. The completion date is still unknown. Oleh Anatoliiovych Husiev ( uk, Олег Анатолійович Гусєв; born 25 April 1983) is a retired Ukrainian football midfielder who played for FC Dynamo Kyiv. He mainly played as a right midfielder or a right-back. He made over 250 Ukrainian Premier League appearances for Dynamo, winning the league three times in addition to four Ukrainian Cups and five Ukrainian Super Cups. Penalty Shootout (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Klasychne derby (Ukrainian: ''Класичне'', as ''Classico''), or the ''Ukrainian football rivalry'' is the football match between the two top Ukrainian clubs Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk. The game between those two clubs is a focal point of each football season in Ukraine. Due to war, at least three of their scheduled fixtures were scratched in 1941 and 2022. Yuvileiny Stadium is a football stadium in Sumy, Ukraine, home grounds to both Sumy and Alliance. The building was put into operation on September 20, 2001.
