Anastasia Gorshkova
Anastasia Alexeyevna Gorshkova (born 13 March 1987) is a Russian former competitive ice dancer. She competed with Ilia Tkachenko from 2002 to 2006, coached by her father, Alexei Gorshkov. They won the bronze medal at the 2005 World Junior Championships and four medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series — two gold, one silver, one bronze. Gorshkova retired from competition in July 2006 due to a hip injury. The Russian Junior Figure Skating Championships (russian: Первенство России по фигурному катанию среди юниоров) are organized annually by the Figure Skating Federation of Russia to determine the country's junior-level national champions. The competition is held generally at the end of January or the beginning of February. Medals are awarded in four disciplines: men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The ISU Junior Grand Prix Final or JGP Final (titled the ISU Junior Series Final in the 1997–98 season) is the culmination of a series of junior-level competitions – the ISU Junior Grand Prix organized by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters earn qualifying points at each Junior Grand Prix event. At the end of the series, the six highest-placing skaters from each discipline advance to the JGP Final. "Why Don't You Do Right?" (originally recorded as "Weed Smoker's Dream" in 1936) is an American blues and jazz-influenced pop song usually credited to Kansas Joe McCoy. A minor key twelve-bar blues with a few chord substitutions, it is considered a classic "woman's blues" song and has become a standard. Singer Lil Green recorded a popular rendition in 1941, which Peggy Lee recorded the next year — accompanied by Benny Goodman — and made one of her signature songs. Composition and lyrics In 1936, the Harlem Hamfats jazz band recorded "The Weed Smoker's Dream". The original Decca Records release listed the songwriters as "McCoy-Moran" (Joe McCoy and Herb Morand were members of the band). McCoy later rewrote the song, refining the composition and lyrics.
