Amélie (musical)
''Amélie'' is a musical based on the 2001 romantic comedy film with music by Daniel Messé, lyrics by Messé and Nathan Tysen and a book by Craig Lucas. The musical premiered at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in September 2015. The musical opened on Broadway in the Walter Kerr theatre on March 9, 2017 (first preview) April 3rd, 2017 was the official opening night and closed on May 21, 2017. A substantially transformed production, with new orchestrations, an expanded repertoire of songs, and new staging in the actor/muso style, opened on the West End in December 2019, at the Other Palace. Critics praised its improvements on the Broadway version, with ''The Guardian'' describing it as "a triumph of adaptation" "high on imagination", while ''The Daily Telegraph'' lauded the "wonderful, wistful evening" it made. Nathan Tysen
Nathan Tysen (born January 15, 1977) is a Grammy-nominated American songwriter whose musicals have appeared on Broadway and the West End. Musicals with composer Chris Miller include ''Tuck Everlasting'', ''The Burnt Part Boys, Fugitive Songs'', ''Revival,'' ''Dreamland,'' and ''The Mysteries of Harris Burdick''. He also collaborated with songwriter Daniel Messé of the band Hem on lyrics for the Broadway musical ''Amélie'' starring Phillipa Soo, and the reworked Olivier-nominated original London cast production starring Audrey Brisson. Television work includes songs for Sesame Street, Elmo's World, and the Electric Company. He also wrote lyrics for the digital murder mystery A Killer Party. Samantha Jane Barks (born 2 October 1990) is a Manx people, Manx actress and singer who rose to fame after placing third in the BBC talent show-themed television series ''I'd Do Anything (BBC TV series), I'd Do Anything'' in 2008. Watermill Theatre
The Watermill Theatre is a repertory theatre in Bagnor, Berkshire. It opened in 1967 in Bagnor Mill, a converted watermill on the River Lambourn. is a Japanese former idol, singer, actress, and former member of the Japanese idol girl group AKB48 under Team B. Sam Pinkleton
Sam Pinkleton is an American theatre choreographer and director. He is best known for choreographing the Broadway musical '' Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812'', for which he received a Tony Award nomination. Pinkleton's additional work on Broadway includes choreographing the 2017 productions of ''Amélie'' and ''Significant Other.'' Walter Kerr Theatre
The Walter Kerr Theatre, previously the Ritz Theatre, is a Broadway theater at 219 West 48th Street in the Theater District of Midtown Manhattan in New York City. The theater was designed by Herbert J. Krapp and was constructed for the Shubert brothers in 1921. The venue, renamed in 1990 after theatrical critic Walter Kerr, has 975 seats across three levels and is operated by Jujamcyn Theaters. The facade is plainly designed and is made of patterned brick. Manoel Felciano (born November 12, 1970) is an American actor, singer, and songwriter. Career He received a humanities degree from Yale University. Felciano attended the Graduate Acting Program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, graduating in 2004. He joined the American Conservatory Theater (San Francisco)'s core acting program in 2009, having previously performed there in Edward Albee's '' At Home at the Zoo'' and Tom Stoppard's ''Rock 'n' Roll''.
