Aminath Rishfa
Aminath Rishfa is a Maldivian actress. Career Rishfa made her screen debut in a video song, "Heela Beleema" starred opposite Mohamed Manik and produced by Udhares Latheef. After featuring in several short films and series, Rishfa collaborated with Hussain Munawwar for his second direction, revenge thriller film ''Dhilakani'' (2013) along with Ismail Rasheed, Niuma Mohamed, Mohamed Manik and Mohamed Faisal (actor), Mohamed Faisal. The film deals with a man's tumultuous journey to seek vengeance and the demolition of family bond over a girl. The film attracted negative reception from critics while Nadheem wrote: "Embraced with futile characters, impractical scenes and out-dated music, the film has problems in each department whereas Munawwar failed to extract the talent of skillful actors". Niuma Mohamed
Niuma Mohamed (pronounced ; 20 October 1977) is a Maldivian film actress, director, and producer. The highest-paid actress in Maldives, Mohamed is the recipient of several awards, including two Gaumee Film Awards, and four Maldives Film Awards. She holds the record for collecting all three Maldives Film Awards for Best Actress in a feature film. In 2011, the Government of Maldives honoured her with the National Award of Recognition. Mohamed was born in Vaadhoo and raised in Male'. ''Vaisoori'' is a Maldivian anthology television series directed by Arifa Ibrahim. Originally aired from 2003 to 2004 on the channel Television Maldives, the series was developed as a 52-episodes series consisting of ten segments. The longest running segment from the series, "An'dhiri Hayaaiy" consists of 33 episodes and stars Ali Shameel, Nooma Ibrahim, Niuma Mohamed, Ahmed Asim, Aminath Rishfa, Mariyam Sheleen and Sheereen Abdul Wahid in main roles. This segment narrates the downturn of an only child in the family for choosing a path her parents disapproves. Maldives Film Awards
The Maldives Film Awards are presented by Maldives Film Association to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Maldivian film industry. The ceremony had been sponsored by various private organizations in the past including Enchanteur and Ilsha. A live ceremony was broadcast to television audiences. History The Maldives Film Awards were first introduced in 2011. In the first awards function, held on 2 July 2011, awards were given to films released in 2008 and 2009; picked from 5th Gaumee Film Awards held in 2007. Ahmed Asim is an Maldivian actor, editor, director, and writer who works in Dhivehi films. Career Asim made his screen debut with a video single alongside Jamsheedha Ahmed. His first film release was Mohamed Abdul Hakeem and Mohamed Nasheed directed family drama '' Kaiveneege Furathama Rey'' (1999) though he was first offered to play a role Haajara Abdul Kareem-directed ''Ajaaib'' (2000) which was released a year later.
