Amiens–Rouen Railway
The railway from Amiens to Rouen is a French 114-kilometre long railway line, that connects Amiens to Rouen. It was opened in 1867. The line was electrified on 27 August 1984 at 25 kW 50 Hz, and was equipped with the restrained permissivity automatic blocking system, which since the 1990s has offered increasingly unsatisfactory operating conditions with respect to the increasing mixed passenger and goods traffic on the line. Route The Amiens–Rouen railway begins near the Saint-Roch (Somme) station in Amiens, where it branches off the railway from Amiens to Boulogne. It runs in generally southwestern direction, passing through Poix-de-Picardie, Abancourt and Serqueux until it reaches its terminus in Rouen. A branch line from Montérolier-Buchy station to Saint-Saëns has been closed and removed. Serqueux, Seine-Maritime
Serqueux () is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region in northern France. Geography A village situated at the source of the Epte river in the Pays de Bray, some southeast of Dieppe at the junction of the D 1314, D 13 and D 83 roads. The Serqueux station is an important interchange station for TER regional trains, with connections to Rouen, Amiens, Lille and Gisors. Serqueux has an important plant producing most of the gum arabic in the world. The commune has also an important commercial zone which is by far the biggest in the canton. Serqueux station ( French: ''Gare de Serqueux'')is a railway station in the commune of Serqueux in the Seine-Maritime department, France. It is an interchange station between the Amiens–Rouen line and the Gisors–Serqueux–Dieppe line. History The station also had a connection to Charleval Serqueux, an important railway junction, was bombed in World War II. The church and part of the village were destroyed, but the station, with its architecture typical of the Nord company, remained untouched. Saint-Saëns, Seine-Maritime
Saint-Saëns (, until about 1940–1950 ) is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region in northern France. A small town of farming and associated light industry situated by the banks of the river Varenne in the Pays de Bray, some southeast of Dieppe at the junction of the D929, D12, D99 and the D154 roads. Junction 11 of the A28 autoroute with the A29 autoroute is within the commune's territory. Montérolier-Buchy Station
The Gare de Montérolier-Buchy (Montérolier-Buchy station) is a railway station in the commune of Montérolier in the Seine-Maritime department, France and near Buchy. The station is a stop on the Amiens–Rouen railway, and is the terminus a line to Motteville. It was also the terminus of the branch line to Saint-Saëns, which has been closed and removed.
