Amarjit Singh (born 29 August 1970) is a British former male wrestler. Wrestling career Singh competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics where he finished in 13th place in the men's super-heavyweight division. He represented England and won a bronze medal in the 100kg+ super-heavyweight division, at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Wolverhampton () is a city, metropolitan borough and administrative centre in the West Midlands, England. The population size has increased by 5.7%, from around 249,500 in 2011 to 263,700 in 2021. The 2002 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XVII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Manchester 2002 were held in Manchester, England, from 25 July to 4 August, 2002. The 2002 Games were to be hosted in the United Kingdom to coincide with the Golden Jubilee of Elizabeth II, head of the Commonwealth, and Manchester was selected for the 2002 Games ahead of London using a recycled part of the project, which lost the 2000 Summer Olympics and Paralympics to Sydney, Australia.
