Alice Sue Claeys
Alice Sue Claeys (born February 24, 1975) is a former competitive figure skater. Representing Belgium, she won silver at the 1992 Skate Canada International and finished in the top ten at three ISU Championships — the 1992 World Junior Championships (4th), the 1992 World Championships (7th), and the 1993 European Championships (8th). Personal life Claeys was born in Atlanta, Georgia. At age 11, she moved with her family to Minnesota and became a student at Burnsville High School. She began studying at the University of Minnesota at age 14. Skating career Claeys trained in Atlanta and Janesville, Wisconsin until she was 11 and then trained in Minnesota. She won the junior ladies' title at the 1990 U.S. Championships. Claeys began representing Belgium in the 1991–92 season. Tonya Harding
Tonya Maxene Price (née Harding; born November 12, 1970) is an American former figure skater, retired boxer and a reality television personality. Born in Portland, Oregon, Harding was raised primarily by her mother, who enrolled her in ice skating lessons beginning at three years old. Harding spent much of her early life training, eventually dropping out of high school to devote her time to the sport. After climbing the ranks in the U.S. Figure Skating Championships between 1986 and 1989, Harding won the 1989 Skate America competition. She became the 1991 and 1994 U.S. champion before being stripped of her 1994 title, and 1991 World silver medalist. European Figure Skating Championships
The European Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition in which figure skaters compete for the title of European champion. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The event is sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU) and is the sport's oldest competition.
