Aleksandra Lisowska (runner)
Aleksandra Lisowska (born 12 December 1990) is a Polish long-distance runner. She won the gold medal in the marathon at the 2022 European Athletics Championships. Lisowska is a five-time Polish national champion. Career In 2011, she competed in the women's 3000 m steeplechase event at the European Athletics U23 Championships held in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Lisowska competed in the women's half marathon at the 2020 World Athletics Half Marathon Championships in Gdynia, Poland, finishing 51st. In 2021, she represented Poland in the women's marathon at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics, coming home 35th in a time of 2:35:33. A year later, Lisowska improved her mark from Tokyo by almost seven minutes in claiming the gold medal at the European Athletics Championships held in Munich with a season's best of 2:28:36. Braniewo
Braniewo () (german: Braunsberg in Ostpreußen, la, Brunsberga, Old Prussian: ''Brus'', lt, Prūsa), is a town in northern Poland, in Warmia, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, with a population of 16,907 as of June 2021. Track And Field At The 2019 Military World Games
The track and field competition at the 2019 Military World Games was held from 22 to 27 October 2019 at the Wuhan Five Rings Sports Center in Wuhan, China. A total of 45 athletics events were contested, 24 by men and 21 by women. Women did not compete in pole vault, 50 kilometres race walk or the 10,000 metres. Marathon events were staged on the East Lake Greenway. For a second time running, para-athletics events were included in the schedule, with a total of 78 medal events available, 41 for men and 37 for women. The World University Cross Country Championships is an international biennial cross country running competition for student athletes, organised by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The women's marathon event at the 2020 Summer Olympics started at 06:00 on 7 August 2021 in Sapporo. Peres Jepchirchir of Kenya won gold in 2:27:20 followed by world record holder and Kenyan teammate Brigid Kosgei with silver, and American Molly Seidel winning the bronze medal in her third-ever marathon. The race was moved north, from Tokyo to Sapporo because the latter is on average cooler in August, as decided in 2019 by the IOC. The start had been moved an hour earlier to 06:00 for the same reason. The two cities turned out to have almost the same temperature, as Sapporo recorded at 06:00 when the race started and at 08:30.
