Al-Zawraa Stadium
Al-Zawraa Stadium ( ar, ملعب الزوراء) is a newly built stadium in Baghdad, Iraq. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home of Al-Zawraa SC. The stadium was inaugurated in February 2022 and seats 15,443 spectators. History It is located in a residential area in the middle of Baghdad. The old stadium held 15,000 people and was built in 1978. In 2011, the construction of a new stadium for Al-Zawraa SC was announced to replace the old stadium and to provide modern sports facilities for the population of Baghdad. The new stadium aims to allow club fans to watch and enjoy their club's games in a new FIFA approved stadium. In January 2012, the old stadium was demolished. The demolition and construction of the new Al-Zawraa Stadium was entrusted to Boland Payeh Co, an Iranian company. Synthetic fibers or synthetic fibres (in British English; see spelling differences) are fibers made by humans through chemical synthesis, as opposed to natural fibers that are directly derived from living organisms, such as plants (like cotton) or fur from animals. Hybrid grass or reinforced natural grass is a product created by combining natural lawn grass with reinforcing synthetic fibres. Alaa Ali Mhawi ( ar, علاء علي مهاوي; born 3 June 1996) is an Iraqi professional footballer who plays for Al-Zawraa in Iraqi Premier League and the Iraqi national team as a right back. Iraqi Premier League
The Iraqi Premier League ( ar, الدوري العراقي الممتاز) is the top level of the Iraqi football league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it is operated by the Iraq Football Association (IFA) and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Iraq Division One. The league was formed by the IFA in 1974 as the Iraqi National Clubs First Division, the first nationwide league of clubs in Iraq.
