Al-Diwaniya Sport Club () is a football club based in Al Diwaniyah, Al-Qādisiyyah, Iraq, the club was formed in 1965 and plays at the Al-Diwaniya Stadium. It currently competes in the Iraqi Premier League. History 1988–2018 : Ups and downs The 1988–89 season, the club was playing in Iraqi Premier League for first time, it was less successful during that season, and was relegated to Iraq Division One at the end. But gained promotion three years later, it played in league in three seasons (1992–93, 1993–94, 1994–95), and was relegated to Division One again, but gained promotion four years later. The club returned to play in premier League for three more seasons ( 1999–2000, 2000–01, 2001–02), then relegated to Division One for two consecutive years, and then returned to the premier League to play one season ( 2004–05) and then relegated at the end. 2004–05 Iraqi Premier League
The 2004–05 Iraqi Premier League kicked off on October 20, 2004. The 36 teams were split into four groups. At the end of the group stage, the top three teams from each group (a total of 12 teams) advanced to the Elite Stage, while the bottom three in each group were demoted to the lower division. In the Elite Stage, the 12 teams were split into four groups of three, with teams playing home and away against each team in their group respectively. The top team in each of the four groups moved on to the two-legged semi-finals which determined who played for the championship game; a single match held in Baghdad. Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya won their fifth Premier League title with a 2–0 victory over Al-Minaa. Sadiq Saadoun Abdul-Ridha (; born 12 June 1972) is an Iraqi former footballer who played as a defender. At club level, he has played for Anyang LG Cheetahs in South Korea and Al-Talaba SC in Iraq. Razzaq Farhan
Razzaq Farhan Mussa ( ar, رزاق فرحان موسى; born 1 July 1974) is a former Iraqi footballer and Olympic athlete who is currently the assistant manager of the Iraq national football team. Razzaq Farhan is an instinctive goalscorer, whose speed in thought and deed makes up for his size and power. The Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya forward scored 24 goals in 60 games for the Iraqi national team after making his debut against Lebanon. Farhan has played for several professional clubs, including Qatar Sports Club and Al-Faisaly (Amman). Samir Kadhim
Samir Kadhim Hassan is an Iraqi football defender who played for Iraq in the 1996 Asian Cup. He also played for Al Wakra Samir was a dominating and aggressive man-marker and a regular for the Iraqi national team during the 1990s. He was a member of Iraq's Asian Youth Championship winning team in 1988 in Doha, Qatar which included goalkeeper Emad Hashim, captain Radhi Shenaishil and attacking midfielder Laith Hussein. A year later, Samir participated in the World Youth Cup, helping Iraq top a group featuring Argentina, Norway and Spain, but in the 2nd round the Iraqi team lost 2–1 to USA. Hamza Hadi is a former Iraqi football defender who played for the Iraq in the 2000 Asian Cup. He also played for Al-Talaba, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, Dibba Al-Fujairah, Al-Shorta, and Al-Sinaa Hamza Hadi was a member of the Iraqi Under-20s that took part at the 1989 World Youth Cup in Saudi Arabia winning their group.
