Air Jumbo
Air Jumbo (formerly Jumbo) is a Telecombat-style ride located in the Adventure Alley themed section of Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. The attraction opened to the public on May 23, 2012, along with three other attractions including SkyScreamer. History Six Flags Great Escape (1960–2004) Air Jumbo originally operated as ''Jumbo'' at Great Escape amusement park in Queensbury, New York. It opened in 1960 until 2004 and was relocated to Six Flags Great Adventure where it reopened as ''Royal Elephants''. Six Flags Great Adventure (2005–present) Royal Elephants opened in 2005 in the new children's area, ''Balin's Jungle Land'', a subsection of ''The Golden Kingdom'' at Six Flags Great Adventure. Adventure Alley
Adventure Alley is a themed section at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. It opened on April 5, 2012, replacing the former Fantasy Forest section of the park. Some of the most popular attractions in Adventure Alley are the Giant Wheel, and SkyScreamer, an Swing ride that opened with the area in 2012. History Before Adventure Alley, the area it now stands on was previously the west side of ''Fantasy Forest'' from the park's opening as Great Adventure in 1974 until 2011. However, for several years before Adventure Alley's addition, it was split up and rezoned, with Main Street added in-between. Red Baron is an amusement ride that is primarily intended for small children. It's a common kiddie ride at many amusement parks, carnivals, and fairs. The rider can move the gondola up and down manually. Many ride manufacturers make this type of ride; the Zamperla's "Mini Jet" is a common model of this ride. SkyScreamer
SkyScreamer is an amusement ride located at several Six Flags theme parks in North America. Designed by Funtime, an Austrian ride manufacturer, the attraction is one of their "Star Flyer" models. Since 2011, Six Flags has installed SkyScreamers in ten of their parks. Riders aboard SkyScreamer are carried aloft in two-person swing-like chairs attached to a rotating gondola mounted on a central tower. When the gondola reaches the top of the tower, riders are swung in a wide circle at speeds approaching , with expansive views of the adjacent countryside.
