Aiace Parolin
Aiace Parolin (28 March 1920 – 19 November 2016) was an Italian film cinematographer. Life and career Born in Cagliari, at young age Parolin moved to Rome where he studied mechanical drawing at the Technical Institute.Mario Bernardo. ''Aic, 40° Anniversario''. Associazione Italiana Autori della Fotografia Cinematografica, 1990. p. 67. In 1935, he was hired as a camera maintenance engineer by film company Cines. He first worked on set in 1947, as second assistant cameraman in the Giuseppe De Santis' drama film ''Tragic Hunt''. In 1953, Parolin debuted as a cameraman under Leonida Barboni, and in 1961 he made his debut as a cinematographer on Alfredo Giannetti's ''Day by Day, Desperately''. He is best known for his long professional relationship with Pietro Germi, with whom he collaborated from 1964 until Germi's death. He died on 19 November 2016, aged 96. It was originally intended as being directed by Sergio Corbucci and the cast was to include also Raffaella Carrà and Renzo Palmer. The American version of the film was heavily cut, with a runtime 16 minutes shorter than the original version and featuring a different ending. Plot Clay McCord is a wanted criminal. He frequently suffers with fits which hinder him to defend himself. His condition seems to deteriorate continuously. Seeking shelter he enters the lawless town Escondido although it is currently under siege by a high-ranked law enforcement officer.
