Adel Yzquierdo
Adel Onofre Yzquierdo Rodríguez (born 12 June 1945) is a Cuban politician and engineer. Early life Yzquierdo Rodríguez studied at the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, V.V. Kuybyshev Institute of Civil Engineering in Moscow. He has held several positions in the Council of Ministers (Cuba), Council of Ministers: Minister of Economy and Planning from 2011 to 2014; First Vice-Minister of Economy and Planning from 26 September 2014 to 9 September 2015; and Minister of Transport from 9 September 2015 to date. Yzquierdo was appointed Vice-President of the Council of Ministers on 20 February 2012. On 18 April 2019, he was elected to the National Assembly of People's Power, representing the municipality of Playa, Havana, Playa in Havana. César Ignacio Arocha
César Ignacio Arocha Masid (born 1959) is a Cuban politician who served as Minister of Transportation from 3 May 2010 until 9 September 2015. He graduated military school and worked in the Soviet Union as a railway engineer. Later was also the commander of military transport units and military logistics and director general of bulk food in Cuba. Communist Party Of Cuba
The Communist Party of Cuba ( es, Partido Comunista de Cuba, PCC) is the sole ruling party of Cuba. It was founded on 3 October 1965 as the successor to the United Party of the Cuban Socialist Revolution, which was in turn made up of the 26th of July Movement and Popular Socialist Party that seized power in Cuba after the 1959 Cuban Revolution. The party governs Cuba as an authoritarian one-party state where dissidence and political opposition are prohibited and repressed. The Cuban constitution ascribes the role of the party to be the " leading force of society and of the state". The highest body within the PCC is the Party Congress, which convenes every five years. When the Congress is not in session, the Central Committee is the highest body. The National Assembly of People's Power ( es, Asamblea Nacional del Poder Popular) is the unicameral parliament of the Republic of Cuba. It is currently composed of 605 representatives who are elected from multi-member electoral districts for a term of five years. The current President of the Assembly is Esteban Lazo Hernández. The Assembly only meets twice a year, with the 31-member Council of State exercising legislative power throughout the rest of the year. The most recent elections were held on 11 March 2018. After the 2023 elections, the number of representatives will decrease to 474. Playa is a Cuban municipality, located in the Havana province. It covers an area of 36.8 square kilometers, which makes up 8.95% of the provincial extension. Geography Playa is the most northwestern of the ''municipios''. It stretches from the Almendares River in the east, to Santa Fe in the west.
