Aaron Trahair
Aaron Trahair (born 3 February 1976) is an Australian former professional basketball player. Career Before beginning his career in the NBL, Trahair attended the Australian Institute of Sport in 1992 and 1993. He began his NBL career with the Perth Wildcats in 1994, and was named runner-up to Sam Mackinnon in the Rookie of the Year award for that season. The following year, Trahair was a member of the Australian under 19's team that won silver at the Junior World Championships, and won his only NBL championship with the Wildcats. In doing so, he was a member of the Wildcats squad that travelled to the McDonald's Championship in London that competed against the NBA's Houston Rockets and Spain's Real Madrid. In 1997, Trahair headed east to play with the Sydney Kings where he remained until the conclusion of the 1999–2000 season. Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets are an American professional basketball team based in Houston. The Rockets compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member team of the league's Western Conference Southwest Division. The 2022 NBL1 West season is the second season of the NBL1 West and 33rd overall in State Basketball League (SBL) / NBL1 West history. The regular season began on Friday 8 April and will end on Saturday 13 August. The finals will begin on Friday 19 August and conclude with the women's grand final on Friday 2 September and the men's grand final on Saturday 3 September. The Geraldton Buccaneers, also known as the Buccs, are an Australian basketball team based in Geraldton, Western Australia. The Buccaneers compete in the Men's NBL1 West and play their home games at Activewest Stadium. Mandurah Magic is an NBL1 West club based in Mandurah, Western Australia. The club fields a team in both the Men's and Women's NBL1 West. The club is a division of Mandurah Basketball Association (MBA), the major administrative basketball organisation in the region. The Magic play their home games at Mandurah Aquatic & Recreation Centre. Club history Mandurah Basketball's roots stem back to 1957. The Mandurah/ Peel region was represented in the State Basketball League (SBL) for the first time in 1990 in the form of a men's team known as the Kanyana Kings. The Kings saw immediate success in their first season with forward Vince Kelley and centre Carl Gonder leading them to a second-place finish and a 20–6 record. NBL1 West, formerly the State Basketball League (SBL), is a semi-professional basketball league in Western Australia, comprising both a men's and women's competition. In 2020, Basketball Western Australia partnered with the National Basketball League (NBL) to bring NBL1 to Western Australia. Shawn Redhage
Shawn Michael Redhage (born 21 January 1981) is an American-Australian former professional basketball player who is most known for his 12 seasons played with the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played four years of college basketball for the Arizona State Sun Devils before moving to Australia in 2004 to play professionally. After spending time in the SEABL and with the New Zealand Breakers, Redhage joined the Wildcats in 2005 and went on to become one of the franchise's all-time great players.
