2nd Podemos Citizen Assembly
The 2017 Podemos state assembly—officially the 2nd Citizen Assembly, and more informally referred to as Vistalegre II—was held between 7 December 2016 and 12 February 2017. From 4 to 11 February, party members would be allowed to vote on the party's strategic proposals as well as on the new leadership composition. Pablo Iglesias Turrión (; born 17 October 1978) is a Spanish political scientist and former politician. During his political career, he served as Second Deputy Prime Minister of Spain, Second Deputy Prime Minister and as Ministry of Social Affairs (Spain), Minister of Social Rights and 2030 Agenda of the Government of Spain from 2020 to 2021. Juan Ignacio Moreno de Acevedo Yagüe (born 1973), better known as Juan Moreno Yagüe, is a Spanish lawyer, activist and politician. He is a specialist in banking, mortgages, and criminal and economic law. Biography Born on 29 May 1973 in Salamanca to a family with a tradition in law, his mother a teacher and his father a judge, he is married with two children. Podemos (Spanish Political Party)
Podemos (, translated in English as "We Can"), * ca, Podem, * gl, Podemos, is a left-wing populist political party in Spain. Part of the anti-austerity movement in Spain, it was founded in January 2014 by political scientist Pablo Iglesias Turrión and other academics in the aftermath of the 15-M Movement protests against inequality and corruption. In the 2014 European Parliament election in Spain, Podemos won 8.0% of the vote and five seats. The newly founded party's big impact received significant media attention, having defied the odds and polls, while major parties lost out. By October 2014, Podemos was the second largest political party in Spain by number of members after the People's Party. Palacio Vistalegre
The Palacio Vistalegre is a multipurpose arena located in Madrid, Spain. It was built on the site of the former bullring, "Plaza de toros de Vista Alegre", built in 1906 and demolished in 1995. The venue is composed of three main spaces: The Arena, The Centre and the Sala San Miguel (formerly known as The Box). History In 1980, the original bullring closed, and the site stood empty until plans were unveiled in 1996 for the modern arena, which would also be capable of staging bullfights. Íñigo Errejón
Íñigo Errejón Galván (; born 14 December 1983) is a Spanish political scientist and politician, serving as member of the 14th Congress of Deputies. Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science, he was the secretary for policy and strategy and campaigning of Podemos (managing several electoral campaigns of the political party) as well as a member of the 11th and 12th terms of the Congress of Deputies. Miguel Urbán Crespo (born 26 March 1980) is a Spanish activist and politician. A longstanding figure of the Trotskyist Izquierda Anticapitalista platform (renamed as Anticapitalistas after 2015) and co-founder of Podemos, he serves as Member of the European Parliament since 2015, integrated within the European United Left–Nordic Green Left political group.
