2022 BAL Qualification
The qualification tournaments for the 2022 BAL season were the qualification rounds for the second season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The tournaments began on 19 October 2021 and ended 16 December 2021. The competition consisted out of two stages: the first round and the elite 16. Six teams advanced to the group phase of the BAL. Teams On 13 October 2021, FIBA announced the 26 teams from 26 countries which participate in the qualification round. Four teams withdrew before the start of the tournament. *1st, 2nd, etc.: ranking in national leagues *CW: Cup winner ;Notes First round The first two teams of each group advance to the elite 16 and two wild cards will be given to teams from each division. 2021 BAL Qualification
The 2020 BAL Qualifying Tournaments were the inaugural qualifying tournaments of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), the newly launched premier basketball league of Africa jointly organized by the NBA and FIBA. While the NBA will co-organise from the regular season, the qualifiers are completely organised by FIBA Africa. A total of 31 teams from 31 countries participate in the qualifying tournaments in order to determine which six teams will play in the 2020 BAL regular season, along with six directly placed six teams. The qualifying tournaments are divided into the First round and Second round, which run from 16 October until 21 December 2019. Cobra Sports Club, commonly known as Cobra Sport, are a South Sudanese basketball team based in Juba, South Sudan. The team was established in 2017 and plays in the Central Equatoria State Basketball Association (CESBA). Cobra has won three national championships. Cobra played in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) during the 2022 season. History The sports club was founded in 2014 by Biardit Company Limited. The basketball team was established in 2017. ASCUT
Association Sportive de la Commune Urbaine de Toamasina, commonly known as ASCUT, is a Malagasy basketball team from Toamasina. The team plays in the Malagasy N1A, the highest national level and has won the national championship 6 times. History The club was established in 2004 by Narson Rafidimanana, at the time the vice-president of the urban community of Toamasina. BC Espoir Fukash is a Congolese basketball team based in Kinshasa. The team plays in the Liprobakin, Kinshasa's premier basketball league. The team has won the Kinshasa title one time in 2021, and have won the Congolese Cup in 2021. Association Sportive du Port Autonome de Cotonou BC, better known as ASPAC BC is a Beninese basketball club based in Cotonou.
