2020 Kansallinen Liiga
The 2020 Kansallinen Liiga was the 14th season of the Naisten Liiga, the top flight women's division of the Finnish football league system and the 1st season of the Kansallinen Liiga after its change of name. Åland United were the champions after 18 rounds of matches. Teams The season featured 10 teams.PK-35 Vantaa (women), PK-35 Vantaa were promoted from the Naisten Ykkönen, 2019 Naisten Ykkönen as league winners while PK-35 (women) were promoted after defeating IK Myran at the 2019 playoff. At the end of the season, the ninth placed team played the Naisten Ykkönen, Ykkönen second placed team in a Promotion/relegation play-off. Tammela Stadion
Tammelan Stadion is a football stadium in Tampere, Finland that is currently undergoing major renovation. It is the home ground for the Veikkausliiga club Ilves and the Kakkonen sides TPV and Tampere United. The Ilves women's team, which plays in the Naisten liiga, also uses the stadium. The new facility is expected to be available for the 2024 season. History The stadium's history began in 1926 when the city council made a decision to build a football field in Tammela. However, construction advanced rather slowly due to a lack of funds. The situation worsened during the depression of the late 1920s and early 1930s. The field was opened in 1931, but a stadium-like look was reached only in 1937 when the first stand was built. The stands were expanded in 1993 to a nominal capacity of 5 050 but only the main stand had numbered seats, 1 300 in all. FC Ilves
Tampereen Ilves (; Finnish for "Lynx") is a Finnish football club, based in Tampere. They currently play in the Veikkausliiga, the highest level of professional football in Finland. They were formed in 1975 as a merger between Ilves-Kissat Tampere and TaPa Tampere, and joined the Premier Division in 1979. Ilves won the Finnish League championship in 1983 and the Finnish Cup on three occasions in 1979, 1990, and 2019. In the late 1990s, Ilves suffered financial trouble and its professional team was reformed into Tampere United before the 1999 season. The initial plan was to join Ilves with TPV, but TPV decided to continue as its own team.
