The 2019 Ladies European Tour was a series of golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world, played from 10 January to 8 December 2019. The tournaments were sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET). Schedule The table below shows the 2019 schedule. Anne Van Dam
Anne van Dam (born 2 October 1995) is a Dutch professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour, where she has five wins. She played in the 2019 Solheim Cup and the 2020 Summer Olympics. Career Van Dam turned professional in 2015. She began playing on the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the LET Access Series (LETAS), where she won the HLR Golf Academy Open in Finland. In 2016, she again played on both tours and won the CitizenGuard LETAS Trophy on home turf, and the Xiamen International Ladies Open in China, her first LET title. In 2017, she played mainly on the LET where she finished 3rd at the Hero Women's Indian Open and fourth at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France and Omega Dubai Ladies Masters. She finished fifth on the LET Order of Merit. Meghan MacLaren
Meghan MacLaren (born 15 May 1994) is an English professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. Early life and amateur career MacLaren starting playing golf at age 4 and attended The Ferrers Specialists Arts College between 2005 and 12, where she earned the Young Sportswoman of the Year award in 2009 and Upper School Sportsperson of the Year in 2010. She enrolled at Florida International University in 2012 and played with the FIU Panthers women's golf team. She won eight times before graduating with a degree in English in 2016. She was Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year in 2013 and Conference USA Golfer of the Year in 2015. Céline Herbin (born 30 October 1982) is a French professional golfer. She has won twice on the Ladies European Tour. Early life and education Herbin started playing golf in 1997, at the age of 15, after she relocated to Mignaloux-Beauvoir with her family. She competed internationally while pursuing a degree in Biochemical Engineering at Institut national des sciences appliquées de Toulouse. During her junior year, she was an exchange student at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. A star performer on the Bucknell Bison women's golf team, she set several school records and won the 2004 Georgetown Invitational. Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic
The Dubai Moonlight Classic is a professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour (LET). The event was played for the first time in October 2006. Its prize fund of €500,000 made it the fourth most valuable tournament on the LET. Between 2009 and 2020, Swiss luxury watch company Omega was the tournament's title sponsor. Promoted and organised by Golf In Dubai, the tournament is played on the Faldo course at Emirates Golf Club, which also hosts the Dubai Desert Classic on the men's European Tour. Annika Sörenstam won the event the first two times it was played. Sörenstam beat out Karrie Webb in 2006, and in 2007 defeated Iben Tinning by two shots. European Senior Tour
The Legends Tour is the current branding of the European Senior Tour, a professional tour for male golfers aged 50 and over, run by the PGA European Tour. The tour was branded as the Staysure Tour for the 2018 and 2019 seasons after UK-based insurance company Staysure became the first-ever title sponsors of the senior tour in December 2017. The tour was relaunched as the Legends Tour in 2020, after Ryan Howsam, founder and owner of Staysure, took majority ownership in a joint venture with the European Tour. Challenge Tour
The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986 and was initially called the ''Satellite Tour''. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season. The following year the tour was renamed the Challenge Tour. Up to 1993 the Challenge Tour rankings were based on each player's best several results, but since 1994 it has been a straightforward money list, with all results counting. Jordan Mixed Open
The Jordan Mixed Open presented by Ayla is a professional golf tournament. The event included players from the Challenge Tour, the European Senior Tour and the Ladies European Tour. The event was first held in April 2019 at Ayla Golf Club, Aqaba, Jordan. In 2019 there were 40 players from each of the Challenge Tour, the European Senior Tour and the Ladies European Tour together with three high-level amateur golfers. The tournament was over 54 holes with a cut after 36 holes after which the top 60 players and ties played the final round. Players from the three tours played to the same pins but from different tees.
