2019 AFC Cup Final
The 2019 AFC Cup Final was the final match of the 2019 AFC Cup, the 16th edition of the AFC Cup, Asia's secondary club association football, football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The final was contested as a single match between April 25 Sports Club, April 25 from DPR Korea Football Association, North Korea and Al Ahed FC, Al-Ahed from Lebanese Football Association, Lebanon. The match was played at the Kuala Lumpur Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on 4 November 2019. Al-Ahed won 1–0 by a goal from Ghanaian player Issah Yakubu. This was Al-Ahed's first continental title, as well as the first for a Lebanese team. The 2019 AFC Cup was the 16th edition of the AFC Cup, Asia's secondary club association football, football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Al Ahed FC, Al-Ahed won the title for the first time, defeating 4.25 SC, April 25 in the 2019 AFC Cup Final, final. Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya were the title holders, having won the previous three editions of the tournament. Safa Sporting Club () is a football club based in Wata El Msaytbeh, a district in Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . The 2019 AFC Cup group stage was played from 25 February to 26 June 2019. A total of 36 teams competed in the group stage to decide the 11 places in the knockout stage of the 2019 AFC Cup. Kim Il-sung Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Pyongyang, the capital city of North Korea. The stadium is used primarily for association football matches. History Kim Il-sung Stadium was originally named the Girimri Stadium (기림리공설운동장) in 1926.
