The 2024–25 Austrian Football Bundesliga, also known as Admiral Bundesliga for sponsorship reasons, is the 113th season of top-tier football in Austria. Sturm Graz are the defending champions. The season began on 2 August 2024, and is scheduled to conclude on 25 May 2025. Teams SC Austria Lustenau were relegated to the 2024–25 Austrian Football Second League after finishing in last place in the 2023–24 Relegation Round, ending their two years stay in the top flight. Grazer AK was promoted as champions of the 2023–24 Austrian Football Second League, ending a seventeen year hiatus from the top flight. The Austrian Football Bundesliga (german: Österreichische Fußball-Bundesliga, italic=no , "Austrian Football Federal League"), also known as Admiral Bundesliga for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Austrian football league system. The competition decides the Austrian national football champions, as well the country's entrants for the various European cups run by UEFA. Since Austria stayed in sixteenth place in the UEFA association coefficient rankings at the end of the 2015–16 season, the league gained its first spot for the UEFA Champions League for the 2016-2017 season. The Austrian Bundesliga, which began in the 1974–75 season, has been a separate registered association since 1 December 1991. WSG Tirol
Wattener Sportgemeinschaft Tirol (), commonly known as WSG Tirol, is a professional association football club based in the town of Wattens, Tyrol, Austria, that competes in the Austrian Football Bundesliga, the top tier of the Austrian football league system. Raiffeisen Arena (Linz)
Raiffeisen Arena is a football stadium in Linz, the capital of the state of Upper Austria. It opened in 2023 on the site of the Linzer Stadion, which was built in 1952 and demolished in 2021. The new stadium has a total of 19,080 seats (standing, seated and box seats), with 17,117 seats available for international matches. The cost of the stadium was 65 million euros. With the additional facilities (e.g. offices, training grounds or daytime restaurant), it would be 85 million euros. Due to the increased cost of construction materials, the exact cost will not be known until after completion. Right next to the stadium is the TipsArena Linz multipurpose arena with a six-lane, 200-meter synthetic track and a maximum seating capacity of 8,755. The Liebenauer Stadium, sponsored as the Merkur-Arena (formerly known as the Arnold Schwarzenegger Stadium and UPC-Arena) is in the Liebenau area of Graz, Styria, Austria. The ground is the home of the football clubs SK Sturm Graz and Grazer AK. History Originally, the stadium was named after bodybuilder, actor and former governor of the U.S. state of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was born near Graz. The Franz Horr Stadium, formally known as Generali Arena for sponsorship reasons and Viola Park for international matches, is a football stadium in the south of Vienna, Austria. It has been the home ground of FK Austria Wien since 1973. The stadium was built in 1925 as the new home of Czech immigrants' club SK Slovan and had a capacity of 10,850. SK Austria Klagenfurt is an Austrian football club, based in the Carinthian capital Klagenfurt, currently playing in the Austrian Bundesliga. History The emergence of the club marked the end of all efforts to establish an all-Carinthian team to play in the Austrian Football Bundesliga, pushed by the state's government under Jörg Haider.
