2023 South Korean Figure Skating Championships
The 2023 South Korean Figure Skating Championships was held from January 5–8, 2023 at the Uijeongbu Indoor Ice Rink in Uijeongbu. It was the 77th edition of the event. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, and ice dance on the senior and junior levels. The results were part of the Korean Skating Union's selection criteria for the 2023 World Junior Figure Skating Championships and the 2023 World Championships. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in South Korea, spectators followed social distancing and quarantine guidelines. 2023 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2023 World Figure Skating Championships will be held in Saitama, Japan from March 20–26, 2023. The competition will determine the entry quotas for each federation at the 2024 World Championships. Qualification Age and minimum TES requirements Skaters will be eligible for the 2023 World Championships if they turned 15 years of age before July 1, 2022, and if they met the minimum technical elements score requirements. The ISU accepts scores if they were obtained at senior-level ISU-recognized international competitions during the ongoing season at least 21 days before the first official practice day of the championships or during the preceding season. Number of entries per discipline Based on the results of the 2022 World Championships, each ISU member nation can field one to three entries per discipline. Lee Si-hyeong (Hangul: 이시형; born December 15, 2000) is a South Korean figure skater. He represented his country at the 2022 Winter Olympics and is a five-time South Korean national medalist (bronze in 2017, 2019, silver in 2020, 2021, 2022). Personal Life Lee was born on December 15, 2000 in Seoul, South Korea. He is currently a student at Korea University, where he studies sports science. Kim Min-chae (Hangul: 김민채; born 26 February 2006) is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2022 CS Denis Ten Memorial Challenge champion. Personal life Kim was born on 26 February 2006 in Seoul. Career Early career Kim made her international debut as an advanced novice at the 2018 Crystal Skate of Romania, which she won. She then went on to win the silver medal at the 2019 Korean Junior Championships.
