2023 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2023 World Figure Skating Championships will be held in Saitama, Japan from March 20–26, 2023. The competition will determine the entry quotas for each federation at the 2024 World Championships. Qualification Age and minimum TES requirements Skaters will be eligible for the 2023 World Championships if they turned 15 years of age before July 1, 2022, and if they met the minimum technical elements score requirements. The ISU accepts scores if they were obtained at senior-level ISU-recognized international competitions during the ongoing season at least 21 days before the first official practice day of the championships or during the preceding season. Number of entries per discipline Based on the results of the 2022 World Championships, each ISU member nation can field one to three entries per discipline. ISU Figure Skating Championships
The International Skating Union organizes six annual Championships for figure skating. It is at the discretion of each member country which skaters, pairs or synchronized skating teams are sent to which championship. No skater in men's single skating, women's single skating, pair skating and ice dancing can compete at all four competitions in one season, but some skaters have competed at all four over the course of their careers. Free Skating
The free skating segment of figure skating, also called the free skate and the long program, is the second of two segments of competitions, skated after the short program. Its duration, across all disciplines, is four minutes for senior skaters and teams, and three and one-half minutes for junior skaters and teams. Vocal music with lyrics is allowed for all disciplines since the 2014—2015 season. Kim Ye-lim
Kim Ye-lim (Hangul: 김예림; born January 23, 2003) is a South Korean figure skater. She is a two-time Four Continents medalist, the 2022 NHK Trophy champion, 2022 Grand Prix de France silver medalist and the 2021 South Korean national champion. She also won two events at the Challenger Series and represented her country at the 2022 Winter Olympics. is a Japanese figure skater. She is the 2022 Skate Canada International champion and the 2022 CS Lombardia Trophy champion. Personal life Watanabe was born on 19 July 2002 in Chiba.
