2023 Chilean Primera División
The 2023 Chilean Primera División, known as Campeonato Betsson 2023 for sponsorship purposes, is the 93rd season of the Chilean Primera División, Chile's top-flight football league. The season began on 20 January and is scheduled to end on 10 December 2023. Colo-Colo are the defending champions. Teams 16 teams take part in the league in this season: the top 14 teams from the 2022 tournament, plus the 2022 Primera B champions Magallanes and the winners of the promotion play-off Deportes Copiapó. The promoted teams replaced Deportes La Serena and Deportes Antofagasta, who were relegated to Primera B at the end of the 2022 season. Chilean Primera División
The Chilean Primera División (English: First Division) is the top-tier league of the Chilean football league system. It is organized by the ''Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional, ANFP''. The league is known as the Campeonato AFP PlanVital for sponsorship reasons. Format As of the 2018 season, 16 teams compete in the league, playing against each other two times, home and away. Relegation and promotion Currently, the two teams with the worst scores in the season, are relegated to Primera B, and replaced by the Champions and Runners-up of this Division. Qualification for international competitions The champions of the Campeonato are immediately qualified to the Copa Libertadores for the next year, as well as the second and third place. Curicó Unido is a football club based in Curicó, Maule Region, Chile. They currently play in the Primera División, the first level of the Chilean football system. They are currently managed by Damián Muñoz. History Curicó Unido was founded on 26 February 1973, with ''Edmundo Rojas'' as the first President of the club. They became the fourth football team from the Curicó city to play at the professional level, after Alianza de Curicó, Luis Cruz Martínez and Bádminton de Curicó. Macul
Macul (Quechua: "to stretch out right hand") is a commune (smallest administrative subdivision in Chile) of Chile located in the central-eastern part of the Greater Santiago area, bordered by the communes of Ñuñoa to the north, San Joaquín to the west, Peñalolén to the east and La Florida to the south. It is a predominantly residential and industrial zone, but its activities have been increasing and diversifying, which has forced a gradual change in terms of infrastructure and equipment. Estadio Bicentenario De La Florida
Estadio Bicentenario Municipal de La Florida is a multi-purpose stadium, located in La Florida, in eastern Santiago, Chile. It is the home stadium of Chilean football team Audax Italiano. The stadium was built in 1986 and rebuilt in 2008. The stadium also hosts a variety of events such as summer theatre festivals and music concerts, such as the KISS concert in early 2009. Faith No More performed at the stadium on October 30, 2009 as part of their The Second Coming Tour. La Florida (, Spanish for "the flowery") is a suburban commune of Chile located in the South East of Santiago, Santiago Metropolitan Region. The 2022 Primera B de Chile, also known as Campeonato Ascenso Betsson 2022 for sponsorship purposes, is the 68th season of the Primera B de Chile, Chile's second-tier football league. The fixture for the season was announced on 1 February 2022, with the competition starting on 15 February 2022. Format The tournament is played by 17 teams, 14 returning from the previous season, two relegated from Campeonato Nacional (Deportes Melipilla and Santiago Wanderers), and the Segunda División Profesional champions Deportes Recoleta. The 17 teams will play each other in a double round-robin tournament (once at home and once away) for a total of 32 matches, with every team having two bye rounds.
