2022–23 Liga F
The 2022-23 Primera División Femenina de Fútbol season, renamed Liga F (finetwork Liga F for sponsorship reasons), is the 35th edition of the Primera División Femenina de España de fútbol, and the first edition with professional status in its history. The tournament is organized by the ''Liga Profesional Femenina de Fútbol (LPFF)''. The competition was supposed to start on 10 September 2022, but the first week matches were postponed. As a result, the competition started on 17 September 2022, and will end on 21 May 2023. Barcelona are the defending champions after winning undefeated the previous season. Summary Postponements On 8 September 2022, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) referees threaten to not attend any Matchday 1 as part of their continue strike for higher wages. 2023–24 UEFA Women's Champions League
The 2023–24 UEFA Women's Champions League will be the 23rd edition of the European women's club football championship organised by UEFA, and the 15th edition since being rebranded as the UEFA Women's Champions League. It is the third edition to feature a 16-team group stage. The final will be held at the San Mamés in Bilbao, Spain. Barcelona are the defending champions. Rayo Vallecano Femenino is the women's football section of Madrid-based club Rayo Vallecano, currently playing in the Primera Federación. Between 2008 and 2011 it won three national championships and one national cup. History Rayo Vallecano established its women's team in 2000, absorbing local club CD El Buen Retiro. In 2003 it earned promotion to the top league, and after two seasons in mid-table it established itself in the top positions from 2006. The Ciutat Esportiva de Bunyol, is the training ground of the Primera Division club Levante UD. Located in the municipality of Bunyol 40 km west of València, it was opened in 2003. The Lezama Facilities ( eu, Lezamako Kirol-instalakuntzak, es, Instalaciones de Lezama), is the training ground and academy of the Primera Division club Athletic Bilbao.
